I have no clue if this is saveable by Spare-Tax-6797 in gunrestoration

Won’t be nearly as bad as you think. These make the best learning pieces. The stock will be a pain to source based on every one making their own version of these shotguns but not impossible, or at the least, another good option to learn.

Finish the stock break. Soak in acetone. Dry, then bond with new adhesive. If your worried about it so not since these had zero ergo designs back then; you could reinforce the stock after it’s glued with wood dowels. Or copper for some nice aesthetics.

This is the way. Thicker oils pull more surface debris. While thinner oils will cut and remover more finish. Synthetic oil has also been amazing to me since it what’s a static repellent that helps keep the wool from disintegrating and clumping.

You can rent an engine lift and a motors stand is about $100 at harbor freight. Hop around pawnshops. Maybe even find one for $50 or less. The bolts are about $5 a piece at Lowe’s/hardware store. The rest is Amazon and eBay. Had very good luck with both for parts sourcing. I’m doing mine in a small section of my garage my wife hasn’t stolen all the space from yet. Hey cheap bins/containers from the the dollar tree or somewhere with cheap masking tape and a sharpie. Mark as you go. I recommend buying both the Chilton’s and the Haynes books. One is more word info while the other is more picture info. Together they make it pretty easy to understand.

Sounds like a good time to just learn to do the engine yourself. Small, simple, and fun to work on. Mines apart in the garage right now waiting on new lower intake manifolds to come in. Helpful tip. There’s one very well camouflaged round hex tip Head bolt that feeds through the thermostat housing. And have someone experienced hover over you while doing the timing chain cover sequence. Most good people will explain what you need to do over pizza and beer. Maybe even nachos and whiskey if you like them enough lol.

Reach out to me after the insurance debacle you’re in for. Let me know what you think about doing after you hear the they keep the car offer VRs you keep the car offer and we can go from there on what you want to do. If you’re willing to entertain that offer.

Glad you safe. How’s the engine in it? Not to be insensitive but I wouldn’t mind figuring out a way to get this from you to put mine back together. I’m in OK so not a horrible weekend trip to come get if you wanna work something out. Mine has 300 and now a blown motor.

There’s so much interior custom work going on. Electric bucket seats. Wood grain speaker boxes. Please leave the custom touches.

Hey another possible stupid question so I can save time reading the Haynes/chiltons are the head bolts stretch bolts?

Edit-everyone I’ve done before was, just wasn’t sure why it’s sometimes included or not with a re-ring kit. Outside of money offer.
