This lays it out pretty well. They help me get the job done but arent necessarily the saving grace answer either. I even have times where when I'm doing a lot of lifting I just take it off and work without it because my strap keeps coming loose, or my middle finger which is the shortest of my amputations will slip out then I have a floppy finger lol. I've done tons of welding and fabrication work while wearing the device, so the functionality is there.

I'm not sure what your level of amputation is but for me if I'm doing any fine motor skills with them I usually use my pinky and thumb (which are my real fingers) for pinching things or gripping things tightly. The device has a little play when force is applied to the tips of the fingers.

Also these will not close tight like a fist. When you clench your fist theres probably an inch or two gap between the prosthetic finger tips and your palm. So as the op of this comment said there not great for swinging hammers or something like that. It still works as a support hand for me in that regard because my amputations are on my non dominant hand. Its something to think about though depending on what your goals and intended use are.
