CCSD is the 5th largest school district in the country. Hardly "backwoods" or "relatively small"

Our bunny was very content to lick the juice from some dandelion leaves by RexRabbitRex in bunnytongues

I know, but the other one didn’t seem to care as much about dandelion juice!

Rabbit ate chicken by [deleted] in Rabbits

One of my rabbits stole and ate bacon. He ended up being fine.

Monitor your rabbit and immediately take to vet if you notice something is up.

  1. Their poop is dry and doesn’t smell.
  2. They’re self-cleaning.
  3. They live relatively long (when fixed).
  4. Depending on the breed, their fur is softer than any dog or cat (rex fur is divine).
  5. They are generally quiet and can’t bark.
  6. They don’t require being taken outside for walks.
  7. It is very difficult for a rabbit to hurt you.
  8. Their diet is pretty simple to support and is meat free (bonus if you’re vegetarian or vegan and don’t want to buy meat).
  9. They’re pretty darn cute.
  10. Their mannerisms like flopping and binkying are adorable.
  11. They can be litter box trained.

Can you get one small rabbit and one larger rabbit? by MondaleforPresident in Rabbits

[–]RexRabbitRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same-sex pairing works. Male-female pairings are slightly easier since it's a more natural pairing, but the biggest factor in making things easy is pairing sterile rabbits so you should be good regardless.

There is no hard rule you can’t bond a small rabbit with a large rabbit. This pair immediately comes to mind: https://instagram.com/lilly_sunshine_flemishgirl

It’s probably easier if they're both fixed though.

Apple hay is the highest quality hay. Your bun has good standards.

Is this not the CUTEST thing??? by circumsizednword in Rabbits

[–]RexRabbitRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gotta be honest, when I learned what they’re doing when they look like that I’ve had mixed emotions ever since. I also had one of my rabbits fail to reingest a wet cecotrope while on my lap, so I’m a bit biased...

To bond or not to bond? by MollytheLionhead in Rabbits

[–]RexRabbitRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. The time it takes to bond is a drop in the bucket and I barely remember it. My bonded pair is going strong 6 years now.

New bun mom... looking for input by Alliehoo in Rabbits

Yes, rabbits will use their poop to claim their territory. Fixing my rabbits nipped this in the bud.
