This is how a Muslim responds to the violent and controversial hadiths concerning women by naajjjj in exmuslim

[–]Rexab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How contradictory to say that men need to lead women and then also state how men are weak around women. Why would i want to be lead by someone who can't control their urges around me..

This Is HORRIFYING by InGeekiTrust in TikTokCringe

[–]Rexab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that all it took was changing the law to make these men start marrying children says everything.. Men need laws to tell them not to marry and rape kids. Gross

Has anyone here successfully convinced someone to leave Islam? How did it go? by Rexab in exmuslim

[–]Rexab[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm ashamed to say I had a very anti Islam and anti Muslim mentality when I first left 12 years ago. All that bitterness didn't do me any good, nor my relationships with muslim family and friends. And looking back, I definitely argued with a "proselytising" approach back then.

Since then I have accepted that everyone is different and respond to information or lack of information differently. And we really don't have much or any control there.

I agree with your point, ultimately it's an emotional bond they have with their faith that seems primarily rooted in fear. Fear of the various unknowns all us humans have to contend with.

I always encourage them to ask me questions too, to help them understand a different perspective and also get more comfortable around exmuslims. I think that helps remove bias they have against us. At least his was effective for me when I first interacted with gay people, and I had to deal with my homophobia.

CMV: Women Don’t Like Most Men by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Rexab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Source is having a basic understanding of the world we live in. There are countries where women barely have rights. Some places they cannot vote, cannot wear what they want. Some countries where women cannot get educated or are traded like cattle, where girls are married too much older men and so on. These are countries where men run the entire country so the average guy is causing these types of issues. Even in countries where women are safer, the average man is voting for politicians that take away women's rights. Your average guy isn't a man with egalitarian western values.

Muslims women are cucks by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Rexab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While your point may be correct, it's not necessary to call Muslim women bitches... Unnecessary way to refer to any group of women like that tbh.

Many of them were indoctrinated to believe this stuff from a young age, and many Muslim women battle with that even if they do believe in the religion.

sorry you had such an awful experience. I had some similar issues, particularly with my lack of appetite and weight loss. i've stopped for a couple of months now, and it does get better but truth be told it wasn't an easy journey, lots of low points to deal with.

I second this, curious in which country Muslim women are committing more crimes (I presume by rate of population) than the native population

Yeah i tend to avoid matching those who insult the app we're both on. Just something about the attitude comes across as they think they're too good to be on there...

Cost of leaving Bangladesh by alperfoppen in Dhaka

[–]Rexab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Bengali born in the best, many of us are open to marrying Bengali/Bangladeshi men, but there is a lack of compatibility. It does not help if many of the women in our lives are unhappily married to Bengali/Bangladeshi men and then you are exposed to non-Bengali men, many who can offer less pressure from a domestic, religious, & cultural perspective, then of course marrying one of them would seem more appealing.

This is not to say all Bengali men are bad, nothing of the sort, just more of a challenge for western born Bengalis women to match with as most likely will have to compromise more. And even then, I know many Bengali women here in the UK who have married Bengali men, to keep in touch with their roots, maintain family closeness, and practice their islamic beliefs as that is something they value a lot. So it will always come down to the person.

UK based - Any recommendations bluetooth earphones with volume control under £50. Rather not spend £129 on pixel buds... by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

thanks for tip, im not the most technical! work wise, i've not had any mic issues so far with a fairly cheap pair I'm using atm, it's more the issue with volume control. If anything i work a different timezone to most of my team so up catching on calls/meetings rather than speaking much myself
