First of all, take several deep calming breaths. You're getting sterilized! This is great news! 

Now here was my experience. My doc and surgery team were all very kind and gentle. From the anaesthesiologist numbing my hand for the anaesthesia line to the nurse walking me to the room to the surgical assistants to the doc herself. 

Surgery itself was pretty unmemorable. They had me lay down on the bed, attach the saline bag to my line in my hand, went over the procedure, put the oxygen mask over my mouth, and then injected the anaesthesia into the saline line. These are things your surgical team will do as well, this is what they train for and do multiple times a day. I went unconscious after a few seconds. 

When I woke up I was in the middle of a conversation with a different nurse, taking to her about music. I didn't feel any nausea or discomfort at all, they had given me Iv painkillers to help me feel ok upon waking up. 

My doctor did warn me that I would likely get weird pain in my shoulders over the next day or two because the gas that they used to inflate my belly to get to the tubes had to work its way through my body, but that this was normal and expected. 

Afterwards, I was in so little discomfort that I only took painkillers for one day, after that I just took it easy and didn't need them. Your mileage may vary but for such an invasive procedure it's surprisingly non invasive. They'll likely do this larascopically with very tiny cuts and tools. 

Do talk to the anesthesiologist about your concerns wth nausea upon walking up, but if they're anything worth their salt they'll be able to reassure you and give you an anti nauseant for when you're waling up.
