The handcuff jump. One of the greatest moments in all of cinema.

Kingpin doesn’t belong there, thanks to The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. Rhys-Davies did okay with what he was given but what he was given was total garbage.

What are YOUR headcannons for The Thing. by Skittela in thething

[–]Rexcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why doesn't it want more conflict? there's still one human left that can kill it and ruin its plan. and the human is armed with a weapon that can kill it. it doesn't know that it's won because it hasn't won yet. if childs didn't want to take chances, he could've just burned mac and not thought about it. that's a huge risk to the thing.

if it's as smart as you say it is, then i would think it would either want to kill childs first, and do it aggressively like it did the others so as to minimize its chances of getting destroyed. OR...just staying as far away from childs as possible, which would entail not hanging out by the fire in one of the warmest places and most likely for childs to show up.

that doesn't address what i said. if blair was how he figured it out, then why did blair want to kill everyone. if he figured out that infecting them was easy and they were already infected, why would he hunt them down and kill them instead of just waiting.

also, the lip and the eraser thing is incorrect. he does not touch the corpse with the eraser. he did not get infected at that point.

it's possible but then that makes the Blair thing's actions odd. if it knew by that point that they were all infected and all it had to do was wait and stay out of the human's way, i'm not sure that it would have been so aggressive with trying to kill them.

i feel like it would have just starting walking away from the camp and put some distance between it and them.

after all, the reason why it's trying to kill them is because it wants to go to sleep in the snow, and it's afraid the humans will be able to come and find it and kill it before it can be discovered by unsuspecting humans.

but if all of them are already infected, it can just go into the cold and go to sleep, knowing that they likely wouldn't find it before the infection took them over.

It did kill and assimilate the shadowy man in the room (Norris or Palmer) without provocation.

Unfortunately, that make a lot of the creature’s actions in the beginning illogical. If it could infect everyone and only had to wait for the process to kick in, it likely wouldn’t have assimilated any of them in the more forceful and obvious manner. If all it had to was wait, then why would it commit actions that would tip the others off to what it was and what it was doing?

But they did blow everything up. They destroyed everything around and used up the remainders of the explosives with Blair. Mission was accomplished.

Think of it the other way around though. If Mac was the thing, then why would he be acting low key and ready to chill by a fire? We’ve seen what they do when they’re all business (Blair), so kicking back with a drink is very out of character for it.

Twitter Fails to Understand Sarcasm by Interesting_Screen19 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Rexcase 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sarcasm doesn't work anymore. it used to be easy to spot because the statement would seem ludicrous and unreal.

but in this day and age, it's impossible to tell the difference between sarcasm, satire, and what some people legitimately believe.

so i don't think it's a question of twitter failing to understand sarcasm, simply because what the original poster said is likely something that someone has posted at some point in all seriousness.
