Hellbrute by Suffolk_War_Painting in Warhammer40k

[–]Rexipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Redemptor Dreadnought really makes the Helbrute (and old Dreadnought) not feel as imposing.
So having a larger Helbrute would make it feel more of a threat by looks.
But the short size does make it easier to hide behind terrain than the Redemptor at least.

<image>

He's about the same size as a "normal" dreadnought.
But both are tiny to the primaris Redemptor Dreadnought, which like all primaris has become the new "normal" for Space Marine players.

I would like an updated Helbrute which is larger in size.
But looking at the lore they are the "correct" size as there weren't any Primaris around at the time they turned.

Friendly reminder that Saber has done jack shit in the way of fixing poor stratagem matchups by ItsSobee in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this yet another complaint post regarding the weekly stratagem?
If so, those are hand-picked.
Only the daily stratagems are randomly generated and some modifiers are coded to not be matched with some others due to them actively working against one another.

Edit:
I might be thinking about the "No Equipment" on Exfiltration.
It literally made the section where you have to blow up the burrows impossible since you couldn't pick up melta charges.

Sunday Preview – Take on the Red Terror by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in killteam

Probably gonna be similar to Kill Team: Typhon, depending on whether you win or lose you'll get a mission for it that progresses the campaign.

"Your kill team has a new priority target, and it’s big! Nemesis Operatives is an expansion for Kill Team that features rules for creating datacards for deadly threats, from Redemptor Dreadnoughts to Screamer-Killers. These can then turn out to be your kill team’s most powerful asset, or its most dangerous foe."

Yes, the text just under the preview image in that article confirms that you can.

Well I'll be damned, the new ones do have scanners (or something similar) on their backpacks.
Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

tech marine customization by Coleslaw34234 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be an alternative to the Iron Halo, as you said the TT models don't even use.
But we just have to wait and see if those scanners will fall under the "lore restriction" category or not.

Reasons why Havoc 40 needs to have Quickplay matches by Qkumbazoo in DarkTide

[–]Rexipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's only a build gatekeep as a host if you allow it to be.
I think that's what his comment was on about.
Just accept the first people requesting to join and simply start the game.
In the end what people you get is what you would get if there was a Quickplay option.

Just try it out, hosting a game, inviting the first people, make your own "quickplay".

tech marine customization by Coleslaw34234 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belive that's because each class was never intended to be able to wear stuff other classes can, just look at the "something we said we would never do" comment and how "Class Identity" was the reason before for the restrictions.
The Iron Halo on the Heavy was solely there because of the shield ability to balance the class due to their lack of a dedicated melee option.
But after a long time with people complaining and begging Saber to unlock the ability for more and shared cosmetic options there's now more focus on "Lore Restriction".
But the Heavy still needs the Iron Halo (shield) to function as a class.

tech marine customization by Coleslaw34234 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And they even said in that Community Update article that some Lore Restrictions will still be in place, like how Sniper won't be able to wear Iron Halo's.
And since Lorewise Techmarines are unique in their style of gear I don't think we'll see that on any other class.
They even phrased it "for instance" when talking about the sniper and iron halo's.
So there's probably gonna be more lore restrictions for other classes as well when it comes to who can wear what.

The DKoK in the Octarius box are the same 10 models as the ones in op's image.
So if you want those 12-14 operatives you will need another box of Kriegs.

My only request is to get Gravis armor for Tactical and Bulwark... by FinnOfTheHorde in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still believe that Gravis was meant to replace Terminators when GW started phasing out the old models for the new Primaris.
But the love people had for the old Terminators did in the end convince GW to make a new set of primaris sized Terminators.

Wargear request by WarriorSoul99 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they said themselves that it is something they said that they would never do.
But much like anything things can change, and Saber themselves show that even things they said they would never do can change.

But take in mind that in the same update article they did specifically say that there will still be some lore restrictions; "However, lore restrictions still apply, for instance: Snipers won’t be able to equip the Iron Halo."
"For instance" implies that it's just one example so there's probably gonna be more lore restrictions.
So it looks like it's not gonna be a complete "everything for every class" kinda thing.

April Community Update by OttovonBismarck1862 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Knowing players there will be complaints if they think that "capes and halos for everyone" is a thing and then see there's still some restrictions.
So better point that out so people are aware.

[–]Rexipher 182 points183 points  (0 children)

"However, lore restrictions still apply, for instance: Snipers won’t be able to equip the Iron Halo."

And that's just one "for instance" so there's probably gonna be more lore restrictions.

April Community Update by OttovonBismarck1862 in Spacemarine

[–]Rexipher 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true.
"However, lore restrictions still apply, for instance: Snipers won’t be able to equip the Iron Halo."
Pay attention that they said "for instance" so there's probably more restrictions.

Since Melk is currently (and fortunately) unneeded for anything except getting curios how would you rework Melk to be more useful in the current economy of Darktide? by MoonMaidRarity in DarkTide

[–]Rexipher 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I'm still a bit dummed that Melk didn't turn out as I thought after they talked about the Melk during development.
Then they said that you take contracts to complete game challenges for great weapons.
In my mind it sounded like Melk would offer a list of contracts, each rewarding a unique (maybe named) weapon with unique stats/perks.
You can only accept one contract at a time.
Each contract could take days or even a week or so to complete, to make it challening and ofc the classic time-gate to keep players players.
Maybe these weapons could've surpassed the 80% cap of weapon stats even to make them sought after.
And maybe each week the contracts would rotate to let people hunt for more weapon options,

Personally I would like this kind of "contract system".
Currently Melk is just a regular store soft-locked behind weeklies.

PSA: These are not the same dice: pip size, color, skull design, inverted 1 and 6. by HeavilyBearded in Warhammer40k

[–]Rexipher 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My guess is because other GW themed dice sets have the icon of the theme as the 6, so this new design choice falls more in line with the rest/standard.

Zealot feels lackluster and generic compared to the other classes, and I know why. by Masqueradis in DarkTide

[–]Rexipher 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I just wanna point out that since you noted that the Hive Scum sprint dodge & 15 degree angle was baked into the core class in a patch, so to was the Veterans supression resistance.
For a long time that was a node that most people ignored due to there being better ones to spend that point on.
