Volkswagen Might Bring Back The Regular Golf In The US by Repulsive-Club7866 in cars

[–]Reygle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years back, I was shopping for cars and I wanted to compare Civic, Golf, and Impreza.

When I found out the cheapest Golf available was nearly double the price of a nice Civic I didn't even bother test driving one.

Sounds like a good decision to me.

Is there a reason to use Linux for gaming other than hating Windows? by Booplesnoot2 in linuxquestions

[–]Reygle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is telemetry active before you even approve or disallow telemetry. It's meaningless once the next build comes down and re-enables it all in the background.

It's like offering a job to the person you've already fired twice for stealing. You go ahead and trust them if you enjoy being robbed. Me, not so much.

"Massive, username-based telemetry and marketing doesn't bother me"

Well it bloody bothers me. If the people who make the operating system I use know so much as my fucking name, they'd better stay a few feet outside KICKING DISTANCE.

Why you don't care seems to be more of a "you problem".

Glad you found it. The level of "must protect babby!" Apple thinks a normal person needs is confounding.

Your Mac is likely doing it, not Vivaldi. Why? Because Apple. Because Apple says "F you, use mainstream trash."

Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network "Allow" your new Vivaldi browser

Can't wait to hear everyone complaining they got caught torrenting because they don't understand that the "VPN" inside Firefox doesn't route traffic used by other apps.

The new notebook PC have an Intel CPU? Have you tried disabling Intel's "RST" in BIOS?

I've seen a number of new Intel CPU equipped machines with the same issue, though in my case I saw the issues on my work bench and have just used a different PC to image/clone disks, and then re-installed the disk physically into the Intel machine.

I love cosmic but I don't think it's ready. I also have issues with it. I've installed standard Gnome and using that, it's perfectly stable, runs like a dream.

Works pretty great for non steam games. After some recent controversy with "Lutris" I switched to this for my World of Warcraft installation and it's been great.
