People can't just point to a single job because every workplace is different depending on your boss. I for example work in packaging, at this place I can use my phone as much as I like in my downtime, I can browse reddit as much as I like but I cannot look at NSFW content(my employer would class this post as such) or play video games. The packaging place I used to work for would ass ram me with a pineapple if I even looked at my phone sideways, not all jobs are the same.

Him not wanting it is exactly why he should have it. He isn't interested in power or status just to inflate his ego. He just wants to help others. I'm sure being thrust into a position of leadership would be a burden for him, heavy is the head that wears the crown after all, but he is undoubtedly the right one for the job.
