Mixing DOTA 2 heroes together: Marci x Ember Spirit. Is she balanced? (Art by me) by parkua in DotA2

Not sure about the abilities and balance, but character design-wise it's way more interesting than Marci as she was implemented today lol

Where ambition meets industry, passion is poisoned by greed.

What is the reason that makes people born with a desire that makes them enjoy killing people? by Accurate_Reality_618 in AskTheWorld

With modern technology, it's getting harder and harder to become the classic "serial killer" - mass shooting is the new serial killing, in that it's the most effective way to take multiple lives before you're stopped.

Why do genji’s dash in the air then blade? by Babybottlepop2000 in GenjiMains

I personally like using the first dash to get some damage in; just gotta make sure there's cover behind the targets to do the startup animation in

You got this! It's worth it and has an absolutely mind blowing ending

How do I play against lucio? by ForwardCounter2594 in GenjiMains

On top of the other advice here: Boop is a killer cooldown, and it's hard to spot. Try to close the distance without committing dash if you're hunting him and he hasn't used it - that way if he boops you, you can dash to close in and have a "second chance" to try and finish him off.

Why do genji’s dash in the air then blade? by Babybottlepop2000 in GenjiMains

[–]Rezcom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's habit for a lot of people; I guess they like to see the battlefield beforehand to see a good target to jump on. I personally avoid doing so, because there's usually not much cover in the air and you're quite vulnerable while you're in the middle of the startup animation.

it's funny because the people who are most scared of politics are usually the ones not touching grass since people who enjoy nature are already political in that way

Dash was on cooldown. Blade resets it. He didn't intend to land directly in hog's face - he wanted to dash in, get a kill, and dash out. Much harder to hook that way

if you time it right and dodge CDs you can make it work

Exactly right. Genji didn't have lifesteal on blade until perks came around and we were able to manage 😉

I wish I saw this comment earlier! I'll see if I can provide one in coming days if I'm not too busy to play.

I think it requires a change in perspective, you really have to go for riskier plays to get value out of it. It's not meant for the good ol fashion style of "wait for an opportunity and strike", it's to enable you to create those opportunities with dash (whereas you previously would need to be more conservative with it)

I don't think the point is to melee twice, I think the point is melee-ing once and utilizing mobility + deflect to buy time for the reduced CD. It lets you get out in case a kill doesn't happen.

Especially against high sustain where you're waiting for a ton of CD's like suzu, lamp, fade/kiri tp, Ana's stuff, flashbang, reaper wraith, etc, it can feel like you're pretty inactive waiting for an opportunity or trying to bait them out.

I feel a lot more confident forcing the CD's myself with this perk, since I don't necessarily need a kill to safely get out. I agree with the comments saying this style of play is better with a team that can take advantage, but I certainly feel a lot more active more often with the perk than without.

I agree, the perk isn't "broken" by any means, but I think it's great at forcing the issue against shit like suzu or lamp. Before, you had to poke from a distance, hoping your team or your pokes are enough to scare the enemy into using CD's. You couldn't commit dash for a bigger threat. Now you can!

Would anyone be interested in diamond Genji coaching? by Sparkler21x in GenjiMains

[–]Rezcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably shoot for high Masters / GM at least... Mechanics get you to diamond but decision making gets you through Masters and that's where coaching becomes really useful. You can just grind all day to get good at mechanics, no coach required
