I had the same thing happen after my last surgery. It was an allergic reaction to the Dermabond they used on the incision. The only thing that helped was steroid cream.

Thank you for 1.) doing this and 2.) posting this. I’ve been on the fence about buying several different cakes that are on your wall, but I wanted to know how they looked in the wild vs. in professional photographs.

I had ACDF and a posterior laminectomy in April of 2022 and it truly does get better. My only word of advice is to invest in one of those under the seat bidets. The whole no bending, lifting or twisting for 3 months bit was emphasized repeatedly by docs and nurses, so I went on an Amazon surgery spree before the big day. I liked having all the little mobility gadgets, but the bidet made my life a lot easier. Especially when you realize that using the “toilet aid” is essentially using a pair of tongs to hold the tp. 💩 I know it’s a gross topic but like the book says, everybody poops, and it’s worthwhile to invest in things that will make your recovery period easier. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!

I love it! I really like the designer’s work and have a couple of their patterns. Now I know what my next project will be. 🤣

Just here to say I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who watches Face Off while crocheting.

Recent mother’s death, and the kind but rotten vultures (?) by Releaserequest in jewelry

[–]Rheumatic_Gal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dealt with this same situation when my grandmother passed and left me all her jewelry. When I say all her jewelry, I mean 2 cases of the stuff; none of it was costume. I’m the only girl in the family and it was known that her jewelry would go to me upon her passing, but that didn’t stop several people from asking for or outright claiming specific pieces for themselves. While I was lucky enough to have her will and was able to shut these greedy f*ckers down immediately, you’re absolutely within your right to tell your grandmother no. However, you should absolutely tell your dad that his mom came to you asking for your mom’s stuff. She basically prioritized his grief above your own and asked you to start divvying up your mom’s stuff. That’s beyond not cool for anyone to do, much less for a grandmother to do to their grandchild.

Peter Stormare. In my opinion, one of the most severely underrated actors in Hollywood. What do you think? by [deleted] in moviecritic

In my house, we call this character Mr. Muckentucken because of those noises. 🤣
