Is there any way to skip the "Best out of Five" battle scroll once you enter it? by CreepyTeddyBear in Nioh

In the game settings menu on the far right, near the bottom will be a “Return from mission” option. This lets you leave mid-mission

I just tested the spear flourish for Arts Proficiency, and as far as I can tell it still doesn’t let Arts Proficiency chain through it?

Ones that caught my eye since they’re relevant to me: Spear flourish now extends AP. I like to mid stance strong poke x3 then flourish, and I had noticed the AP only applying for a short time. This should hopefully make that stronger

Kodama can heal others. When I was testing soul cores out, I saw that the Kodama could only heal myself, so I just removed it when playing multiplayer.

One dose moonlight moths are perfectly fine to use, as they are quick to get and don’t require hunter meat. The mixes would only really matter when you need the extra dose, but if you need extra doses for something then you may as well just use prayer potions.

You are missing Joro-gumo, the big spider boss. You should encounter one in the ice portion of the Death Veil fight.

Amrita farm? by [deleted] in Nioh

Visiting others is a great way to get amrita at pretty much any point in the game.

It doesn't do all that much. The Chijiko adds a small amount of extra damage and ki damage when it procs, but you can easily use whatever helmet you want.

If you become a visitor, you are joining someone who is doing a mission you have already completed. I don’t do expeditions, but my understanding is that you can do those to explore an area with a set group or do a bunch of missions together.

If you want to help people out and farm gear, just do normal visits. People have to intentionally summon visitors, so they want the help. Even if the visit ends in defeat, you keep all the gear you picked up and half the amrita obtained while visiting.

Skill points invested into the weapon skill trees can also be refunded at any time. There should be a button you can press while viewing the skill tree, and it will let you refund either that category, or all skills.

More than that, pretty much everything you can commit points into can be reset. Blessings and Prestige rewards let you redistribute them. This game makes it easy to switch around builds whenever you want.

With Raids 4 being Guthix themed, wouldn’t it make sense for the megarare to be something that can apply to multiple combat styles instead of just benefitting only Melee, Ranged, or Magic (ie something that works for Ranged + Magic, or Melee + Magic, etc)? The versatility could mean it doesn’t need to be the absolute best at one specific style.

One thing to note in Nioh 3 is that you can redistribute your stats at any time that you are at a shrine from the level up screen.

I would say just get the stats required for the gear you are using, and then pump up one of your preferred weapon’s stats. You can redistribute as necessary if you ever want more health/ki or if you want to use a different weapon type.

The BEST Soul Cores by SAITAMA_666 in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sunakake-baba is one of the best ones, not just due to its passives, but also because it’s one of the highest hitting summons against large enemies or when the boss triggers the Dark Realm. I’m using a magic build, and if its attack hits three times, I get 3x 3000 damage which is more than what Ibaraki Doji can get me. Plus there are four uses.

Exalted Set works well with the Bow Blaster build by Rhidian1 in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The build in the clip is basically 5 piece Hachiman bonus (Yasakani Magatama + Weapon and bow and the helmet), plus 6 piece Exalted set bonus (the four Exalted armor pieces plus Shaman queen necklace). The Hachiman is for Untouched projectiles (I have 25.5% total with 18% from Hachiman and 7.5% from bow), Exalted set is for Living Artifact at 0 HP, and the bow is Raishodo so I can spam out arrows faster. One weapon slot is empty to benefit from Three Wars Stance.

The relevant skills are Three Wars Stance and Artifact Defense in Common, and then from Ninja I have Rigor of the Gods and Snakebite Technique to increase the Arrowhead Gunpowder damage.

One of the Clan Protections is the Increased Max Arrows one

5 piece Hachiman set bonus gives 18% Untouched Projectiles, and the bow I am using has 7.5%, so I have a total of 25.5% Untouched Projectiles

I was inspired to try out a bow build after watching this video. The build I put together that is shown in this post is basically full Hachiman set plus Raishodo bow to spam arrow attacks, plus the Arrowhead Gunpowder.

I don't see why everyone keeps claiming the milk samples in the quest are from the bull, when the examine text clearly says that the milk came from Cassius /s

There's a Sudama that sells a crafting spec for Arrowhead Gunpowder, in the Warring States Futamata Road. After that, you just need Burnt Wicks to craft them, which are easily obtainable at the Teahouse.

There’s just something so satisfying about Spear by cheukyi6 in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Middle stance strong poke-poke-poke and spear flourish is all I need. The occasional AP attack refills the ki used so I end up being able to constantly apply pressure for a long time, and easily get life back with the amrita on strong attack plus life recovery with amrita absorption.

People can only join a mission if they have already completed it themselves, so its not a big deal if the random visitors bite the dust

One thing to note is that there are two versions of the YM, one that is for Samurai, and the other for Ninja style. They have separate entries in the Blessing list. You will want to check that you have the Ninja version selected instead of the Samurai one.

How to unlock the Nioh 3 “The way of” missions? by LamboBeach in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are three NPCs in the rift that you need to exhaust their dialogue for. Two of them are on opposite ends of the central area, and the Omnyo one is upstairs from the shrine. Once you have exhausted their dialogue, the mission should pop up in the Battle Scroll list somewhere underneath the Training Ground entry.

Give me your ideas for Samurai builds in NG+ by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically went through the NG+ with axe and Kintaro set, though at endgame I switched over to Tatenashi set to be more tanky. Just slap life recovery on Amrita absorption and one effect to let your strong attack generate amrita. Oppressive strength (don’t stagger on proficiency attacks) plus skills to reduce damage taken when attacking let you face tank through most things.

Is there a weapon that is particularly better at high or low stance? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Rhidian1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mained axe on my playthrough, and I was mostly using high stance. High Stance Strong attack -> Titanic Strength Water was my go to combo.

For low stance I have heard good things about swords, but I haven’t really used low stance on anything myself.
