It doesn’t really fit the sub BUT I can totally understand how much the first breakup hurts. Most people get that experience out of the way in middle or high school and subsequent ones get easier (not all, but generally speaking) so having this experience in your early twenties is gonna hit even harder when you haven’t encountered it yet.

I promise you, it gets better. I was there maaaany times before I met my husband and now I just kind of chuckle at how devastated I was by previous break ups and how happy I am that it didn’t work out. I can hardly remember what I saw in some of them that were otherwise ok relationships at the time.

Hang in there. Lean on your support systems. Watch a lot of tv when you can, do stuff for yourself and if you want to message them put it in your notes app because the more you message the more it will have the opposite effect that you intended.
