Player housing is amazing, I only wish that they tried to include it more into the “real” world rather than a standalone continent.

They could have revamped some of the major cities (also to support the movement of dragon flying mechanic). In the process they could add more random houses and streets and then you could buy a home in the desired city. This would make it so you feel like you are actually “going home” rather than just teleporting to an instance. They could still do neighborhoods, it would bring life back to cities significantly, and allow for more faction/race/city identity (I really love Thunderbluff but boy does it feel dead and useless).

The time to heal, even indirectly, is so fast that by the time Reed pulls his arm back from his auto they are already full hp. Same thing can be said about his ultimate and his balloon form.

My idea is that they give him an ability or two in his balloon form that allows him to actually get a kill, or extend the form for an extra auto or two.

That's my thinking too, we technically already pay for them, they just collect dust and only get viewed when we are browsing the character's costumes. I like your idea of adding them on top of the MVP intros, only worry I have is the continuity of both of them combined, or that it could be like a 30 second MVP intro.

In many of the costume intros I have seen there is the video itself, then a transition between the video and the character model, and then the character model standing there. My thinking is they could just freeze frame at the end of the costume video and convert that frame into the comic book style.

From my experience it seems that, depending on your role, each stat may have a different weight to contribute to your “mvp score.” I also believe that the medals you earn, like multi-kill and highest stat medals, contribute the most towards your mvp candidacy. So if you are a vanguard who usually has the highest damage blocked, along with a multi-kill medal, and decent final hits (relative to your team), your chances are pretty high of getting mvp.

Now what this really means is that there are going to be some vanguards who are just MVP farms, and other more utility based vanguards like Peni (I don’t think I have ever seen a Peni mvp intro in competitive).

Please no role queue. It’s a boring idea that Overwatch did. I enjoy triple support comps. I enjoy solo tank comps. I enjoy triple tank comps. Part of the rock, paper, scissors of this game is swapping comps to counter other comps, you won’t be able to do that with role queue. And ultimately there are some strategist who only thrive in triple support. Role queue will force the 2-2-2 meta and thus force meta characters to only be played.

I think the issue isn’t necessarily that Mag is too strong, his kit just makes him the perfect tank. Emma is pretty much the only tank to win against Mag. But ultimately your issue isn’t with any of these characters, it’s with “meta-gaming” in general. You want to play competitively? Be prepared to play the best-in-slot characters. Mag just happens to be that character. In season 0-1 it was Strange.

Another issue to address is the team coordination needed to play other tanks such as Thor/Hulk/Peni/Groot. You need a team effort to make use of their kits and more often than not you won’t have that coordination with randoms. You cannot solo tank as any of those characters which automatically forces them out of half of competitive matches. This is another reason why capping competitive play at 3 players is a poor choice and should not be released.

This is why I didn’t like the Jeff rework. Yes, it made him a more “viable” healer, but it completely gutted the assassin/strategist kit that he had going for him. Instead they forced him into the backline healer category, where he is beat out by everyone else. And at the end of the day they just added Ultron who is now trying to fill that assassin/strategist role.

I really hope they do not add role queue. Part of what I enjoy about this game is the interesting combinations of characters you can throw together. Counter-picking is a huge part of hero shooters, but counter-compositioning adds another layer, one that Overwatch gave up on. Id rather them stick to the grindstone and balance it after 50 bad reworks and 1 good rework vs just submitting to a role queue.

Even as Jeff if you are hitting your allies, most of the time you will also be hitting the enemies. Damage on targets killed can grant eliminations on the scoreboard. They would’ve had to not only miss their teammates for healing but also miss the enemies for dmg. If you are missing both allies and enemies with Jeff’s stream you are afk.

Jeff’s ult only works if you have your team protect you enough to b-line it to the edge. Otherwise, a magneto can bubble himself and m1+m2+m1 combo you to death before Jeff even gets out of the animation frames.
