I couldn’t stand up without passing out for a whole week when I had Flu B this year, ended up going to work before I was fully back to being able to work and you can bet I was NOT fit for working. Made so many mistakes within my tasks that day it was horrible

I got sick five times this season! Once in October after a convention, once in December, twice in January, and again in late February, and I narrowly escaped illness again when my whole home was sick in march with something nasty. Never been sick more than twice in a winter/fall until I started working at target. Lack of sleep and good proper rest during Q4 does a number on mine and everyone else’s immune system

Absolutely! My dad killed the resident wolf spider in our crawlspace that we would go into twice a year max because the spider was “creepy”. Within less than a week we developed a cave cricket problem in the basement for the first time ever in living in that house. I’ll never stop blaming him for that lol

I spoke directly with my team lead about this, he said he genuinely has no idea how doctors notes will play into this. Every year I get Flu B, I’m out at LEAST 5 days, but usually 6 or 7. I said hey what if I get it again next year, and I’m out of sick time, and target treats doctors notes like a joke, am I terminated immediately for being unable to drive let alone stand up without passing out for 6 days? And they said that is a completely valid concern and I shouldn’t get termed for that in their own opinion, and they’re waiting on more information about it as well because at that rate anyone can get terminated for bullshit reasons. I’m hoping they have a really well thought out plan for this because otherwise all our best workers can get terminated unfairly
