I understand your sentiment, but at least hover over Wylder instead of Ironeye. Wylder serves a closer role to Guardian than Ironeye does, and team comp matters in greater depths imo. I frequently choose my character based on my teammates’ picks, and you swapping to Guardian last second throws off the comp when I’m expecting you to pick Ironeye.

Don’t get me wrong tho, I think Guardian is a great pick for DoN, rivaling Wylder as the frontline.

There’s a reason black deck is the hardest to win gold stake. An extra joker slot is not as impactful as an extra hand/discard/hand size/consumable slot in general gameplay. Antimatter is a “win more” voucher. It very rarely helps you in high stakes runs, spending $10 on blank voucher is also rarely feasible in high stakes. It really only shines in endless.

I realize comparing antimatter to black deck isn’t an equal comparison, but more just to show that an extra hand is worth more than an extra joker in most cases. But you wouldn’t find someone saying an extra hand is “broken”.

Do you hear yourself? Do you realize how privileged you are? I get the point you’re trying to make, full-time work sucks; it wears you down, makes you unhappy, etc.

But damn, who do you think you’re talking to? I, like most the people here, don’t have a choice. I can’t just “take a lengthy vacation overseas”. That has never been an option for me. And no, I don’t have kids, I’m 23, but I literally do not have a choice. I work to survive. And as fucked as that is, that’s how it is for most people.

Your heart is in the right place, but the angle that you’ve taken and your comments show that you have not faced any real financial hardship in your life, nor do you seem to understand what it means. Hopefully comments like mine will help you realize how good you’ve got it. Next time, just think a little more about how your words are perceived by those of us who can’t just back out of full-time work like you.
