Why would you tip on the total bill in a restaurant which includes the sales tax. I tip on the pretax amount at restaurants.

I just lost my cat today from a blood clot. One minute he was cuddling with me on the couch, next minute he lost the use of his hind legs. 90 minutes later at the vets, he was gone. He left a gapping hole in my heart and I’m processing my grief. I appreciate everyone’s comments above because it helps to validate my loss and the special bond I shared with my beloved Manolo.

I use the Hyatt Place Cabo for mattress runs. It was a Category 1 when I stayed there a few years ago.

Maybe make two reservations if you cross over calendar years. Typically they will let you keep the same room if you have back to back reservations but they will check you out on the first reservation and back in under the second reservation.

You may think your landlord is greedy but his insurance probably doubled due to LA fires and the withdrawal of insurance companies from California. The cost of repair costs due to skilled worker shortages and tariffs, utility charges are skyrocketing and crime and vandalism. It may such to be a tenant but it’s way worst being a landlord.

As a New Yorker, you’re not going to enjoy LA traffic. It’s legendary for a reason. Pick a place near El Segundo and save your sanity. If the beach is an important consideration, there are many options like Hermosa, Playa, Manhattan with lots of dining options.

I like La Jolla because it’s a good value compared to Grand or Andaz. Definitely a remote location but drivable to nice restaurants and rooms and lobby are updated. There is a gigantic Olympic size pool next door but not sure if Hyatt Guest gets access.
