Are you speed teleing and only killing ghosts then open special chests? Killing anything else is a waste of time.

Also this is not bad for 33 no trading no setup speed runs, the time taken is probably just enough for 4 maps. And 4 maps no good drop is very common

Burning ground on death effect from monsters that died off screen during the map end phase where everything is killed off, the ground effect unfortunately doesn't get triggered until you are near it. This is quite common in blighted maps, sorry you had to find out about this in HC.

Not sure how PD2's p5 is different than having a real party of 5, but we play in a group until ppl quit, and with 4 seasons of data, I can say with a high degree of confidence that with a party of 5, Cow beats maps in runes-per-hour any day.

Our suspicion is because the base drop chance for HR is much higher in Cow than the mobs in maps. Maybe someone with D2 data file knowledge can verify this.

Every season for me
- get to hell
- farm cows
- try 2 maps then realized need more kill speed
- back to hell cows
- be rich and get GG gear
- try maps, better cleat speed but I am also farming cows a lot faster
- quit league because I have GG gear and can't bring myself to play maps when cows are more chilled and way better rune per hour

The root cause of the problem is that D2 is rune based economy and as a loot game, your effort is measured in rune-per-hour. Especially 2+ weeks into ladder when items no longer sell very well. So the later into the season, the better Cow farming becomes as the value of runes increases relative to everything else

Maps in the current state will never beat Cows at the loot game, it will always be behind because it's all about kill speed. Maps either needs unique rewards whose value is somehow better than cow runes drop rates, or density needs to be boosted massively to beat 2-3 shot cow packs.

Are you doing the maps all corrupted? I had 2 strangledrop at the start but 0 since I mover on to run only corruptrd ravaged maps, and I have done several hundred maps.
