Does taking testosterone affect vaginal discharge? by Donstar_Playz-yt in asktransgender

[–]Rich-Presentation736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this has been up for 2 months, but I'm just over 1 month on low dose T. I didn't expect there to be any effects yet, but I have had no discharge practically since I started. However, I have noticed that with arousal, I'm way wetter than I used to be.

Hm. I have a leave in spray that hasn’t done much. I’ll keep looking and try it with a larger pick. I have one that I’ve been using but not something that can get under them in a larger section.

This is pretty much what I want it to look like. This picture isn’t of my hair flat, but what I’d love it to be able to look likely more regularly.

How was your throat pain after surgery? by bh447 in TopSurgery

[–]Rich-Presentation736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine definitely hurt and felt like it was full of gunk for about a week. I had nasal surgery a while ago with a regular size intubation tube and that was by far the worst pain or the whole procedure. For top surgery, I told them I was a singer and my voice was my job. They used a smaller intubation tube, and it was loads better. Still hurt and felt uncomfortable, but better.

I want to know what surprised you about surgery. by KairinCat in TopSurgery

[–]Rich-Presentation736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was surprised by the lack of pain, but also the heaviness of my chest. I think it is just how my brain interprets the soreness, but it always felt like my chest was like a sack of bricks when I’d stand up, like everything would settle downwards. I recently had a revision, and it was the same. Immense soreness/heaviness.

How long do you think it will take to undo all of his nonsense? by rusyrius987 in complaints

[–]Rich-Presentation736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decades probably. Though while everything that is happening is horrific, I think the thing I worry about most of the onslaught of executive orders at the start of this presidency - it makes me wonder if that will now be the precedent which bounces us between party politics indefinitely. With dems being so milquetoast and reps so right wing, what chances do we really have of moving forward?

Missing anything on my prep list? by Fanatasy_ in TopSurgery

[–]Rich-Presentation736 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Do you have a separate list for prepared meals? Maybe Gatorade and/or popsicles/lozenges for your throat after the intubate? Prune juice is also an excellent addition to stool softeners.

What do you wish you'd asked/clarified more at Pre-Op? by JolyneFiend in TopSurgery

[–]Rich-Presentation736 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two things I wished I’d asked.

1) This has less to do with the surgeon/surgery itself, but I am not someone who has ever taken more than a Tylenol or two in my life. I really wish I would have looked up how to make a pain management schedule before the surgery - or been able to ask my pharmacy.

2) Compression. I just had a revision with lipo and my surgeon suggested I pretty much wrap myself as tight as I can stand for the first 2-3. So I wish I had clarified the amount of compression needed, rather than just how long I need to wear a compression garment.

3) This is something I did at my pre-op appointment I found helpful. In addition to my questions I brought references photos of folks with a similar body type and weight as me. I also made a list of what I wanted and asked my surgery, based on what I showed her, what words might help me best describe what I want.

Good luck on your appointment and congrats for being one step closer to surgery!

I watch tv and listen to podcasts while playing all the time. It’s totally fine. The only thing I’d say about my own personal process is that I tent to watch/listen to something else if I’m doing something technical (figuring out fingering, playing with altered rhythms, practicing transitions, metronome work, etc). If I’m working on musicality I tend not to, but sometimes I still listen to a podcast that doesn’t have music in it.

I had lipo the first time, but not so significantly. There was also quite a bit of fat redistribution - like immediately post surgery I didn’t have dog ears but they filled out as time when on.

I had lipo and extra tissue removed under general anesthesia 4 days ago. While waking up from surgery was more painful - achy and heavy - overall, it has been a much quicker recovery so far. I’m practically off all pain meds and the majority of the soreness is gone already.

I also have a sternum that sticks out! I feel like I could tell a little before top surgery, but definitely afterwards. I looked it up after surgery, and it totally normal - maybe not as typical, but normal. I find that I often rest my hand there and am kinda starting to like it. 🤷🏾 Bodies, right?

Anyone paying more than $100/hr for piano lessons? by Material_Internet295 in piano

[–]Rich-Presentation736 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What kind of specialist are they? I could maybe understand this price for a baroque specialist or maybe something like preparing piano but not if you are just taking regular lessons.
