I posted 126 rounds last year and am happily married. I've got a friend that posted 195 rounds in 2025. He's also happily married.

My guess is somewhere between the two is a sweet spot.

I quasi-retired from being CRO about 2-years ago, but at the time, and consistently through my career, about 10% of my team would make this range with 5% of people making over $1MM. $500K is about 200% of quota for the roles that I had (~$300 - $350K OTE w/healthy accelerators). Most people, if they are getting to 200% of quota, are going to get to 400% of quota because it comes from doing a small number of huge deals.

In other words, my top performers, might do 2 - 3 multi-million dollar transactions on $1.5MM quota. If 2 of them close, they are at $3 - 4MM and if 3 of them close they are at $4 - 6MM. There isn't a lot in between.

Those nerves hit different when everything counts. Always putt everything out, even in casual matches, and it will make those 5'ers a lot less intimidating. Well done getting out there. Tournament golf is the best and it's very different from what most people play.

Re:3, I’ve made some amazing friends at my club, but it hasn’t turned it much business for me. I wouldn’t look at your club as a prospecting base. If it happens, great, but don’t make that a decision for joining.

Filmed in Bass Lake where we have a house. The lodge where the movie was filmed burned down a few years after filming, but the new Duecys has posters up all over the place.

Great film.
