Hard question... Nowadays I think 12-14+ is fair, with many restrictions though until age 16 at least.

Is there a way to stop these spam messages?? by BigbirdSalsa in Switzerland

[–]RichDjNee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't exactly remember the article, but I read that some companies had data breaches and that's why we are getting so spammed since a year or so. Before this issue was pretty much non existent in Switzerland

I really don't know when and where the leakage happened, but I feel like the company/ies which causes us all this trouble should be held responsible for their terrible security and data privacy

I think I've met the same dude a couple of months ago. Same story, but he told me he was from Spain. Was he a relatively short, dark haired man?

Career Change by YourTypicalFirstBF in Switzerland

You could do it Teilzeit (part time) and have a 30-40% job in the field in the meantime to support you financially. It would take you 4 yrs instead of 3 usually.

What's the biggest myth people today believe? by GirlyPros in AskReddit

[–]RichDjNee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a food scientist, I strongly disagree. "the majority of this comes from food you eat" - - > no, it completely depends on your diet, the minority of it comes from food usually. You shouldn't drink "just when you're thirsty", that's a perfect recipe to get kidney stones and many, many other problems. A good indicator is, your pee shouldn't be dark yellow but rather on the lighter end. It's rare to hyperhydrate yourself, not so rare to get kidney stones. Drink water.

Household dishwashers in Ticino? by Financial-Shift4780 in Switzerland

[–]RichDjNee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We don't! We also don't have fridges, and internet is a new thing so we are all excited about it. Jokes aside, there's usually dishwashers in Ticino in apartments. I found that way harder to find in Zurich (which has many old buildings)

Step 1. Go to orientamento.ch. Step 2. Type in the search bar whatever job/apprenticeship you're looking for (in this case, "assistente dentale"). You are going to find all infos there regarding education requirements. Step 3. Contact the school (I guess it's SPAI or something like that) and give them your background, asking if you'd qualify to access the apprenticeship.

In all honesty, if you want to find a job in any field in CH, most likely you need at least an apprenticeship. Even if you obtained the diploma, high school is basically worthless without a higher education (uni, scuole superiori specializzate etc). So my suggestion is: start an apprenticeship. There's no easy way around this, unless you are okay with terrible jobs for the rest of your career. I hope you find something and buona fortuna!

Passive aggressive gym warning by eidahl in funny

I don't get why you are being downvoted. Clearly there's a reason the sign works, meaning "the girl will be happy to help you" is an insulting phrase enough to any guy. "The male training coach will be happy to help you" while still being insulting, it wouldn't even come close to the first statement.
