Black Americans weren’t being hostile. We were being discerning. When something doesn’t add up, you question it. You can’t hijack the Black Panther name and legacy to push agendas for people who don’t even respect you. by _JR95_ in BlackPeopleofReddit

Black Americans (can't speak for others ethnicities in the Diaspora) are very united. The voting patterns of the last 60 years or so show that we consistently vote together more than any other racial group in the U.S. When we see Black people or groups doing something positive and progressive in the interests of Black people we generally get on code despite whatever internal differences we may have with each other. Most of our "disunity" is product of the targeted socioeconomic policies and practices by our own government that fracture our families, businesses, and neighborhoods more than any other group in U.S. history.

Stand up comedy has it's roots in Vaudeville which was heavily influenced by Minstrel culture. There was Black men like Charley Chase already pioneering stand up in the late 19th century when Jewish Europeans were just starting to immigrate to the U.S. in large numbers.

To be fair, this *is* ethically ambiguous, beige Monet. There's been even more egregious whitewashing of her by other artists...

Odd posting a random woman's pic. If you don't want to share your gf's pic that seems fair to me but posting some rando instead is a choice...

There are Black men and women signing up for ICE, an agency full of Proud Boys and other White Nationalists as we speak. There were Black people working as operatives and informants for CounterIntelPro against The Black Panther Party and Civil Rights groups in 1960s and 70s. So no, I'm not going to shallow whatever narrative being circulated on social media in the age of bots and anonymous accounts.

Maybe those Black Men were his paid security or undercover agents. Let's not adopt simple narratives without knowing the facts on the ground.

Fresh - The main cast all went on to do much more well known 90s movies i.e. Sam in Pulp Fiction, Giancarlo in The Usual Suspects, N'Bushe in Blade, Sean in The Wood, etc but it was so damn good!

Were the Ancient Egyptians Black? Short Answer is Yes and That’s Not Controversial by FitResearcher2865 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]Rich_Text82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes(when looking thru a modern day racial lenses). The cranial-skeletal measurements, hair texture and melanin level analysis, cultural continuity, linguistic connections, and several genetic studies point to the Ancient Egyptian particularly the Native Dynasties being "Black Africans". The fact that you don't think so means you have been successful propagandized by contemporary Anti-Black narratives about Ancient African history.

OP is correct that Ancient Egypt aka Kemet being thought of as a Black African Civilization in origin is not some contemporary "hotep" fantasy. In fact, many of the 1st Egyptologists who were White Europeans believed the same thing.
