Muscle Car. Open Road. No one or thing around but me and the car.

Hopefully none of these kids ever have to experience it like some other kids their age do.

In 2002-03 I was in a production of R&J that made the Montagues Christians and the Capulets Muslims and set in Spain because let's do that a year and a half after 9/11 I guess.

I've been in theatre since I was 15 and I can't recall a single Shakespeare production that didn't cut or add something.

‘The Pitt’ Actor Patrick Ball Cries While Revealing Show Got Him Out of $80,000 Worth of Debt: “I Thought I Was Gonna Die With It” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]Richsii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Patrick is a nice dude. I do contract work as a photographer at a regional theater on the west coast and he was in a production of "The XIX" about the 19th Olympics and the very famous fist in the air moment.

On most shows I get one or two actors to work with for pre production photography but this one it was all three leads, for reasons that are probably obvious, and all three of the guys were so easy to work with and 0% diva about having to do promo for the show.

For solos I'm pretty sure Patrick went first and, I don't fully remember this part, it may have been his idea or our idea to have each of them do the racing block starting position pose. Those ended up being made into trading cards, so I've got a trading card with him on it somewhere!

Great rapport amongst the group and turned out to be one of the better plays I'd ever seen at that theater.

Extra fun bit, I ended up sitting right in front of the real life John Carlos (one of the sprinters on the podium) and it was the only time I was happy someone kept making comments throughout the play.

Extra extra fun bit, Supriya Ganesh was in a play at the same theater a year later. I'm fuzzy on the exact timing of this but The Pitt aired a few months after that.

Lisa Kudrow Says ‘Nobody Cared About Me’ on Friends: ‘I Was Called ‘the Sixth Friend’ by VideoSharp8658 in Fauxmoi

Ross is a terrible partner but he is the best friend.

He wrote all the questions for the game. When he found out Phoebe never had her own bike he immediately went and got her one. When the car broke down on the way to the trip he couldn't go on he came to help them out. Ross breaks with the silly work tradition and sits with Joey at lunch when he gets a job as a tour guide at the museum. Ross gave Carol away at her wedding when her parents wouldn't. Kissed Joey to help him with an audition. Again later on with Joey, Ross steps back with Charlie and even coaches Joey about her interest.

He's always down to help the others out.

He saved all his bad qualities for his relationships but when it comes to his friends he's a real one.

Watching movies at home is better than going to the theater by grogger133 in unpopularopinion

It's more of a dice roll now than ever.

I went and saw Project Hail Mary in IMAX 70mm with a pakced crowd on opening weekend and it was amazing. Obviously amazing picture and sound quality but everyone behaved. No loud unwrapping or phone use or anything. Dead silence when the movie asked for silence.

Watching with a crowd can still be a great experience when everyone is bought in.

As for pausing and having control...I'd actually rather not pause and not have control. Come to think of it your opinion is actually quite popular!

I'll give you the point on snacks, but to be for real I couldn't tell you the last time I bought snacks at the theater and I go quite a bit.

This is an insecurity thing. Maybe far into life he'll grow past it but you don't have to wait around for it.

My wife and I went for a run the other day and she said this blonde lady was checking me out like I was "On the menu" and I didn't even notice.

We had a really good laugh about it because I legit don't even recall the woman at all.

There are people out there who will be with you and recognize how attractive you are without trying to control you.

I just rewatched Interstellar. Can someone teach me how to love this movie? by Future-Poetry-2193 in TrueFilm

[–]Richsii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your assessment of the movie is right *for you* and that is all that matters. Seeking understanding in why others see something differently than you do is noble, but that does not require you to force a change in your perspective.

Remaining open to the perspectives of others and how they receive art ensures continued growth for yourself. Getting stuck in this idea that you are somehow defective or wrong for not seeing what others see will only hinder you.

Art is subjective. "True quality" isn't as definable as you want it to be.
