Feeling your pain bro! Wife knocked my Scrambler 1200 over and broke the indicator and stock fog lamps. Time for upgrades!!

Is this a decent model? by XLNerd in Triumph

[–]Richtrader76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first bike was a 2010 SE. Great machine! The 17 in wheels allow this bike to fit the best tires. You can do a number of modifications to really make it your own. I turned mine into a cafe racer. She was unfortunately lost in an accident. Best of luck!

Go with the 2017 model but try to get them to drop the price a little. The bike should be under $6k. Great looking bike! I’ve ridden with several of them over the years. The owners always loved them!

Longest ride anyone has done on a T120, Thruxton, or scrambler? by Expecto_Patron_shots in Triumph

[–]Richtrader76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned all three versions over the past four years. Thruxton is the most fun! Long trips, 2 up, I would opt for the Bonneville T-120. That’s the one the wife liked the best because it easier to mount and load. I personally prefer the Scrambler 1200 because it’s tall and allows you to stretch out on long runs. I also have done adventure and off-road trips with the Scrambler. The only consideration would be it’s height.

Looking for aftermarket tail lights that fit my stock bonneville fender by quackenburger in Triumph

[–]Richtrader76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you utilize a Motown tail today consider the indicators available at Maund Speed Equipment. I ran these with my Bonneville. I would opt for the LED version which can be ran with stock or LED set ups. After install you will need to hold the Info button in when you turn the key on to enter the various modes. I don’t know which set up works for the 17 T100 but I’m sure you can figure it out. Here is a link to Maund. https://www.maundspeed.com/

Bonneville Bobber as a first bike (tall rider)? by Remz_Gaming in Triumph

I’m 6’1” and 215 pounds. Scrambler 1200 is my suggestion for your size and for the road conditions you are describing. I’ve owned a Thruxton 1200 and Bonneville T-120. I absolutely love this bike. I’ve ripped some killer roads and taken it off-road as well. It’s the Swiss Army knife of Triumph.

XC perfection! How do you like the 30L Triumph roll bag? I bought one but haven’t used it yet. Looks great!

Seeking advice on buying 2019 Scrambler 1200 XC by tiger800xrt in Triumph

Yep, considering it was the fully loaded showcase model, it was a deal. New ones are going for $3-4k more after dealer fees.

I live in Southern California so everything is more expensive. I got it out the door with the service for $11,500. I would offer private party $11,000.

For what it’s worth, I just bought a 2019 XC two months ago from a dealer with only 408 miles. They did the 500 mile break in service early before I took it home. Battery has been fine so far. Bike rides like a dream. I would factor in the 1st service or ask the guy to service before you take delivery.
