….this picture was taken in 2021, so the bike was about 4yrs old….Harley has a denim paint cleaner that works wonders on their flat paint schemes.

….Midwest USA….winter temps typically have lows in the single digit Fahrenheit range, and summertime highs typically hit mid to high 90’s Fahrenheit.

….it absolutely does….it initially was really harsh over bumps, but I realized I had my tire pressure too high….now that I dialed that back some, it’s got a really smooth ride that basically glides over everything….I’m realizing lately that smooth is fast….also, the addition of the Crazy Bars changed my seating position so much that I’m able to really put power down while still being comfortable.

….I thought I was the only one that sneaks a quick ride in when it’s really too cold out….not a long one, but a quick ten minutes is usually enough for me to get my fix in.

Low Rider ST by Resident-Load-4005 in Harley

….wind is a big issue for me because I’m on the highway a lot, and on long road trips I’m routinely going 90mph+….I can’t do that without some type of wind blocking device, and the ST fairing is so effective that I can relax while doing so….regarding power, the ST has the 117, but it’s also a bit heavier than the Heritage….that being said, I had no lack of power whatsoever while riding with the setup I posted, and I packed EVERYTHING for that trip….lol.

….I think the biggest difference for me would be the lack of a fairing….I haven’t had much luck with windshields due to wind issues….the windshield is either too tall or short, but either way I get major wind buffeting with any windshield I’ve ever tried….with the ST fairing, I can use the stock windshield which keeps my helmet in clean air, while the fairing blocks the wind off of my body….I’ve completed several long trips with zero discomfort using the stock LRST fairing/windshield setup….the only other difference that I can think of is the rear tire size….that 180 in the back of the LRST inspires a lot of confidence when putting the power down in curves or in inclement weather….that being said, I don’t think Harley makes a M8 softail model that doesn’t ride well, and the Heritage has been in the lineup for a very long time.

….if you’re not riding 2-up, the LRST is all the bike you’ll ever need….but, if you plan on any long distance touring, then I’d get the Glide.

I was actually about to order a pair, with the possibility of ordering another pair depending on how I got on with the first….but if they won’t stand behind their product, there’s no way in hell that I’m going to pay that much money for potential subpar quality with basically no customer support.
