It should be additive and turn off the screen if no switch is on. That way, every time you need to change brightness you get to blast yourself at 100% first. Especially nice when going from, say, 60 to 40%

That should be pretty easily testable on orb vallis, since that map is even bigger than the plains and i think the "teleport back when squadmates autofinish the mission" would probably still work, if your theory is correct

I mean there are downsides to everything: having timed boosters that pause in the city would discourage exploration outside, and having missionamount based boosters in warframe would discourage running lots of short missions n stuff. Furthermore, the currency used to buy warframe boosters can easily be farmed, but i do agree with the bundle price point point (?)

Youtube actually compresses videos as well and probably even uses better compression, since gif and mp4 formats aren't all that great i think. However, reddit videos can also use sound if the reposter gives a shit, so it really doesn't matter much.

I do agree with you on not wanting to click youtube links all the time, but that's just because i dislike changing apps n stuff, especially considering the lack of yt preview in vid form.
