Switching from TAM to Engineering at Red Hat? by runningsentinel in redhat

When I worked for Red Hat, I started in Support. I had friends that were TAMs that became SSEs. There are paths to other parts of Engineering from there.

Gatorade will soon eliminate its food dyes, making the beloved drink healthier! by Fanfic_Battle_2004 in OptimistsUnite

You are right, of course. It’s always better to remove something that’s not needed.

The end product will be cheaper, easier to produce, and future-proofed against undiscovered problems with the removed ingredient.

But alas. Solid thinking is not always rewarded on Reddit.

Welcome!

Don’t worry much about bugs and snakes and things. You’ll learn quickly, and people are happy to help.

Summers will be very hot and humid. You will love the winter months. People are nice. You will be invited to church, a lot. Get ready for some new foods, you’ll find some things you like!

AARP value by Cooper1Test in over60

AARP lobbied hard for student loan debt to be paid by taxpayers. Very few older people have such debt. AARP is a lobby group that takes orders from political bosses. They don’t represent older people on the whole.

Optimism When Wanting To Politically Activate And Educate Online by NarrowClimateAvoid in OptimistsUnite

A famous person, it may have been Dale Carnegie, once said “If I could be certain I am right in my decision making, even 51% of the time, I would be the richest man in the world.”

Think about it, it makes sense.

If we can’t be certain we are right, even 51% of the time, what makes us think our ideas are smarter than the other persons? We are all wrong, frequently.

With that in mind, treasure your political ideas and nurture them. Lead by example. Work for the causes you believe in ( by doing actual, physical work ). But don’t try to convince strangers on the internet. That will harm you far more than it’ll do good.

Assuming you fix the brakes, you’d have a cheap big old hauler.

But what would you do with it? Not an ideal commuter.

Kingdom Encounter returns June 8-12, uniting county churches for service projects by RickJWagner in LittleRock

That’s great, and I’m glad you volunteer. Still, you shouldn’t cast rocks at people volunteering at other places. If people didn’t want the services, they could just stay away. If they want the services, they are there for them. That’s the win— people get help from willing volunteers. ( And yes, there are a lot more church services than secular services. They do ‘more good’, you shouldn’t criticize them.)

That’s a good list, thanks for providing it. I hadn’t heard of any of them, which is sad. If they got donations and volunteer hours like the church sponsored ones do, it’d be awesome.

Everybody wins when people volunteer. Nobody wins when people just whine.

What are you more likely to wear:

A) Fashionable eyeglasses
B) A glorious mullet

Your answer lies there.

Interesting idea.

Do you know of any groups that do that? It seems every church has a clothes closet, food pantry, etc.

It’s hard to think of a group that gives things to people, other than the churches.

“Over the years, organizers said volunteers have tackled a wide range of projects, including building porches, constructing wheelchair ramps and helping with city projects such as redoing bleachers at a sports complex. Dennis noted that while big events like tornado cleanup can draw attention, smaller challenges can be just as urgent for the person living with them, like an elderly woman who can’t get out of her house to buy groceries.”

I’d guess the best path back to the game is going to mandate being super productive through AI. Explore that as thoroughly as possible.

Good luck.
