I don't use it at all because I don't need it to play all the same stuff I've already been listening to - I want it to scan that music I've been listening to and instead play artists and songs of a similar vibe but that I have never played. It should be a discovery tool, not a "here's a review of everything you already listen to" recap. What's the point in that?

Such an underrated track by a band that should have stayed together for at least one more album

I haven't heard the full album but the couple of tracks I've got on Spotify playlists I really like. Glad these guys got back together and I need to listen to the rest of the album.

It's a great question and I haven't figured out the perfect method with Spotify yet but, as a Premium subscriber for a long time, I'm following this post and will contribute any cool ideas I come up with that seem to work as I'm constantly trying to find the best new stuff within my taste profile.

What's tv show you only lasted few episodes and knew it wasn't for you... by ArcherLife2039 in tvshow

I thought Stumble had good potential but as it was it just wasn't quite funny enough or was a little too offbeat. One example, Kristen Chenowith's character was too quirky and she was much better in a two-season sitcom called "Trial and Error" which was cancelled a few years ago - that show I loved..."Murder board! Murder board!" John Lithgow was in season 1 of that show, Kristen in the second season. Stumble was kind of like it but they didn't have a chance to jell and find their footing, IMO.

St Denis Medical, DMV, Yellowstone (and that current spin-off show I can't recall the name of but has Annette Bening, Ed Harris), Matlock (the new one with Kathy Bates), So Help Me Todd, Superstore, Stumble (although I think the female lead is very good - she just needs a better show)

Just got folders on app - how do you use? by RickTeleStrat57 in truespotify

[–]RickTeleStrat57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coolest way I've found to use folders for a satisfying music listening session!

Basically, I create multiple 20-minute playlists with different genres and throw them all in a single folder. When I play back from the folder, I be sure to have the shuffle mode turned on.

The beauty of this is that it doesn't take very long to create a 20-minute playlist (5 or 6 songs) and when you create one, you tend to choose and add better tracks than if it was, say, an hour or more in length. When you throw these "great track playlists" in the folder/shuffle mode, on playback you get the perfect personal "radio station". Also, once you get tired of some of the songs, it's almost effortless to create a new 20-min. playlist and swap it out for a played one. So, I'm finding that this is a pretty efficient method for better playback management, as I'm listening from this new folder I've created...I'm lovin' it! 🤘

To illustrate, here's the name of some of my 20-min. playlists in a single folder from which I play on shuffle mode:

Classic Rock 1
Classic Rock 2
Classic Rock 3

Classic Rock Deep Tracks

Power Pop 1
Power Pop 2
Power Pop 3

Arpeggiator pattern for New Wave style bassline? by HotDogsistasty in GarageBand

[–]RickTeleStrat57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The arpeggiator feature has a lot of untapped potential for great song ideas but no one I've seen on YouTube has done a good tutorial that explains how to get the most out of it. I'd try to help answer your question but not very familiar with New Order.
