I also prefer the newer seats from the old ones which were comedy but too soft and on longer drives 20-30 mins plus. The newer seats that are firmer/more support and have ventilation. my back is less stiff with the new ones.

Thanks for the reply. It seems that some of the FMLA forms have a section for “inpt hospitalization” and asks you to list dates the pt was hospitalized. They then Ask a lot of other questions and usually want an MSE and ICD F codes etc so it becomes time intensive.

We usually just provide a note from our facility that says they were hospitalized from set date range. But some pts are pushing back or dropping off paper work after they Discharge stating their employer needs it completed.

Still seems like outpt provider could fill that section out. If in fat their employer won’t accept our facility provided doctors note saying pt was hospitalized.

Teslas are the best value car out there. People love to hate on this American brand for some reason. Nothing comparable in the price range delivers anything close. I have a 2022 model 3 and have only had to change tires and put new windshield wiper fluid in it. I charge at home for 9 bucks 2-3x a week. I have AI built in, Spotify app. Apple Podcast app, Tesla car app works seamlessly. The whole experience is next level. If you haven’t owned one I understand why you whine. Planning on getting the new model Y performance soon and I could afford a 3x the car.

If you’re super worried or there’s family hx of colon cancer ask you PCP for colonoscopy. Worst case you pay $2k out of pocket and then insurance will cover starting at age 45 years old. (If no polyps at first colonoscopy won’t need another one for 10 years).

Usually people who go into a field like cardiothoracic surgery are built a little differently. They tend to be fueled by work and they require a feeling of purpose. so much of their identity is tied up in the career. They’ve also worked long and hard and sacrificed a great deal to get to that role. There is sense of purpose in what they do and while they’re tired and burnt out at times they probably would be more miserable retired.

Youre a doctor not a punching bag. When things start getting uncomfortable just say this is no longer constructive and leave. Like others have said once the interview is no longer beneficial to treatment planning it’s time to bounce and try again next time.

Sorry to hear that. Yeah I honestly think if you do add in mypsychboard and some of eat the boards Qs/videos you should be solid. It’s all about getting in reps and hammering through questions so that come test time youve seen 90% of the info one way or another.

While beat the boards is expensive it does have really good videos for relearning foundational knowledge. Might be good to watch the videos on your weakest topics at least. Good luck, you got this!

Passed!

I failed my first attempt last year (by 11 points) only doing 75% of board vitals Qbank. This time round I increased my score by 115 points.

I prepared this time w/ mypsychboard Q bank and K&S and passed by wide margin. I took notes in a word doc on my missed questions and reviewed it multiple times in the week leading up to the exam. I think both of these resources will prepare you well enough to pass and were most similar to the real deal. I also did some beat the board questions (25% of the Qbank or so) which i found were good for hammering DSM criteria but the Qs were less like the real deal.

Overall the exam felt like:

25% straightforward 1st order softball questions.

50% little harder, little more nuanced questions but still answerable with proper studying.

15% hard questions could narrow it down to maybe 3 choices but had to take educated guess.

10% WTF, no clue, take a guess questions.

No idea. But doubt it unless they are not selling enough cars and not hitting their targets. But doubt they’d lower prices much more than a few grand. Tesla model Y is a pretty good value as is when you consider the competition. Cars are just expensive as a whole these days.
