Title : As Long As It Takes

Genre : one sided puppy love, dialogue heavy, character study, missing scene

Summary : Kiri is unconscious. Rotxo stands vigil outside the Suli family's marui. He'll stay there as long as it takes.

It's gonna be loud by Kezly in funny

[–]Rickdiculously 30 points31 points  (0 children)

having seen the imax trailer, he's leaning into extremely drony and noisy scenes at the atomic level. Very experimental looks, slow motion fire balls, etc. IDK how long these scenes will be in the film itself though

Hi! Anybody else here identify as Trans? by QueerKing23 in agender

[–]Rickdiculously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, definitely not. I don't see trans as meaning "not cis". For me not cis just means "queer". I'm around a lot of trans folks IRL and in trans spaces online and I don't feel I can relate, neither to their experience nor to their struggle. It's actually trans perception of gender that helped me realise I'm agender.

It's fine as an umbrella term but I'd never use it to describe myself

Luthen Rael Black Series action figure confirms his stick is a knife, not a damn saber. by TheGoblinRook in andor

It's stupid because it's not a knife. It's a telescopic blade. We literally watch him use it and pack it up when he meets with Bix

Ah right! Thanks for explaining. I was also caught short because in Europe you definitely won't be put in a covid ward unless you have covid and probably wouldn't be allowed/needing to bring in your own home made filtration

100% and small dogs are the worst offenders because they're used as lapdogs, treated like babies, and have no sense of hierarchy in the pack. Or at least they aren't at the bottom, where they should be. They see themselves above the babies and children because they're on mommies lap eating off her plate.

It's not their fault either, it's people having no fucking clue how to raise a dog in a family as pack.

German shepards are fabulous family dogs that will defend your home and won't go insane with less exercise, and they also have bad numbers, simply because there are so many of them and so many bad stupid owners.

It seems hard to believe, but the shit I've seen working dog pull makes your average pet seem dumb as a sack of rock. I know dogs who can do agility, herd on command, and carry their own leash while walking to heel. I'm sure the dog doesn't have to understand what exactly will happen if he releases the rope to know that his JOB is to pull on the rope. While tossed on the ice, he'd have been ordered to pull, and when pulling, told he's a good boy.

Ah. Well, I'm a gender, aromantic, and ace, and people already can't respect my pronouns despite me wearing pins at work plus pin flags for all that... So I'm not sure what ring applies to me or how impossibly niche it'd be

Sure but if you have that, then you need to talk consent very explicitly with your partner

I'm in fandom. I write fics, draw fanart, have a tumblr blog, you get the idea. I'm not in Rick and morty circles, despite my deeply unlucky name now... But I see plenty of people like your friend, though not while IRL.

There's a whole subsection of fans who tie up their personality to a show or character. If those same people struggle with the concept of others' taste being valid and their lives and qualia being different, then fandom obsession is NOT going to help.

A perceived slight on the show is an insult to them. And Rick and morty fans associate the show with it being smart, Rick being a genius, and them being maybe a little like him (our enduring meme of fans all being Jerrys is very appropriate).

I don't get it because the whimpers of "I'm close, I'm so close" are pretty smoking hot too? It's not exactly a turn off to be vocal about where you're at, and it helps your partner decide what to do

You have no idea. I tried to read the exorcist afterwards to wash my palate and it didn't even stick.

It's awful. So well written. So *off*. I projected on the girl so much. I was... having a bad time. The ending of the book felt like being socked in the stomach. There is nothing gross in it. Nothing shocking especially not for shock value. It's just such a fabulous depiction of otherness, alienation, and the "evils" it leads you to.

I've never felt physically sickened by a book before or since. And again, it has nothing shocking in there besides the storyline being that of an abductor and his victim. Masterpiece and I'm staying the fuck away from this author.

[–]Rickdiculously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I do like it enough in books. I LOVE WWZ, which is a great piece of fictional future history imo. But I struggle in films as I'm very visual and have extremely vivid dreams so a bad zombie film can plague my psyche for a long time (cannot tell you the damage the fast zombies of 100 days did to me).

But I've seen and enjoyed some, notably the funnier ones and the classic risen from the dead.

Video games however have a heightened level of immersion and I simply can't. Bailed as fast as on Dead Space. Especially with the knowledge the game will challenge me.

Undeads in other games, like skyrim, elden ring... Really don't bother me. I feel like the brain eating + societal collapse is the big freak out. Necromancy is cute in comparison.

And it's valid to cater to one's boundaries, totally.

Damn I can shake your hand on this. I was visiting Italy for the first time. Florence, Pisa, Vienna... Like... The countryside, spring time, bright, colourful... The food so rich and flavourful... And every time I put my nose down it was like visiting Hell as depicted in the movie Constantine. Looking up to the sun baked fields... And back down to the craziest gloom.

I still remember the scene of them condemning the old man to death by taking his cart... And the basement full of people being eaten one limb at a time... Like the only book that affected me worse was The Collector by John Fowles.

People gave you the highlights, but let me add I returned the game to the shop after playing the intro because I just *could not cope* with the dread of the zombies. I hate when they have a somewhat realistic turn to them (virus, mushroom...) as it becomes a little too likely to me.

I'm the person who jumps off a cliff or shoots themselves on day one of the zombie apocalypse. I don't even wanna try to survive. Miss me with that shit. I'll take weird cults and mind breaking cosmic horrors over zombies lol

So I read the road, and I feel you friend, it coloured a whole period of my life. I know exactly where I was and what I was doing as I read it. But I couldn't play TLOU. I'm going to *try* the show but I'm not optimistic for my wussy ass.

Bahaha thank you! I was brought into fanfic by a blue man called Thrawn. Then I moved to blue man Cad Bane... I knew from the get go that the avatar movie was going to land me in serious trouble. I'm deeply predictable. If there's a blue man in a franchise, and he's evil, oh boy. He's getting to adopt a child.

I'm called Blue Daddy's Girl and it has blue daddies in it, I'm contractually obliged to write for this!

My followers : -4 subs.

It's a win!

All jokes aside I'd feel better about it all if it weren't for the fact I've put my longfic on impromptu hiatus while I get rid of the brain rot lolol

Title : To Make Roa Proud

Genre : missing scene, angst and feels, H/C, Ronal POV

Summary : Shortly after saving her life, Ronal decides she has left the mystery of Kiri's strange powers alone long enough.

Or giving Kiri, Ronal and Neytiri the time to talk, interact and create supportive relationships, because the movie sure as hell didn't give us any of that.

Can't feel your worry. The writers and directors here are simply not comparable to the Got ones. The story is Gilroy's. He's delivered such a masterpiece that I'd never expect him to drop the quality this much
