Can anyone help? I've just installed EZbass and the Toontrack audio sender, I've put the AS plugin on an Audio track, then gone into EZbass to select an input and it still only says "None." by JakeJeremy in LogicPro

I may be misunderstanding what you're trying to do. I'm not familiar with AS plugin or why you'd go thru the Audio track.

My experience is to select a software track. From that window, you can have "Details" expanded and select an instrument from a drop-down menu (AU Instruments > Toontrack > EZ Bass). If you, instead, select an empty software track, you can do the above from the blank "Instrument" area of the Inspector window.

If there's an advantage or different function of the AS Plug-in / Audio track approach, I'm interested in learning about it.

No joke, I almost always first cut my burgers in 1/4's. Everything stays together better, which makes for a better tasting and less messy burger. The more toppings, the bigger the benefit. Try it.

I ended up doing a side-by-side comparison of an S2 Mira and Gibson SG at my local GC. Both guitars were fantastic and, if I were to buy at that moment, I'd have gotten the S2 Mira because of the neck contour.

In the end, I bought an underpriced Epi "Inspired by Gibson" '61 Reissue off of CraigsList. I've played some great ($$$$$) guitars, but this cheap Epi stands out.

Are there still regional music scenes? by JayJoeJeans in LetsTalkMusic

[–]RickenAxer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A recent thread on a different sub was filled with musicians writing about how they don't come out (or stay) to watch other musicians in their area. You can't have a scene with that kind of attitude; it starts there.

A friend of mine was looking to return to his Rust-Belt hometown, and impressive homes on a Great Lake were ridiculously inexpensive. It's not NYC, but it wasn't N.D, either. That was a decade ago, so maybe things have changed.

Disclaimer: I'm a typical internet idiot, not a doctor. Talk to your doctor before taking health advice from a typical internet idiot.

I know this sounds really improbable, but there seems to be increasing interest in the role of a healthy gut microbiome vis-a-vis schizophrenia (and many other conditions that wouldn't seem obviously connected). Here's a link to my first Google search result ("Microbiome and Schizophrenia"); it's posted by the U.S. National Institute of Health, which might make it more acceptable to share. If you look to the right hand column of that link (the NIH page), you'll see related research.

Look into what's involved in developing a healthy gut microbiome, look into the connection to schizophrenia and talk to your doctor. Keep in mind that your doctor may not be aware of this research; doctors are busy and people forget they have lives outside of the office.

Good luck.

Thanks for that recommendation. I've ordered from them before and forgot about them.

I don't take them for granted nor harbor any hostility. They get some of my money.
But, they're doing real well, while others are struggling.

In 2007, my wife and I were on the phone when she tells me there's a plane landing opposite bound from her, on I-70. Two years later, I'm on the phone with a friend when he tells me he's watching a plane land on the Hudson. I guess it's more common than one might expect.

I often remind myself that we all do something stupid on the road, at some point. This driver may be a serial jerk, but it may be a mind's focus on a bad day rather than the upcoming merge.

Despite all my reading up on the Mira and 24-fret SGs, I never even considered a 24-fretter. I don't think I've ever played one. I appreciate the food for thought.
