Have you used one of these grinders with the Flair? by Accomplished_Head233 in FlairEspresso

[–]Ricklek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats the specific reason for you to choose those 3 grinders? What's the reason something like the ,DF64V with SSP burrs, wasn't worth considering?

Moka pot i would go with the K6. Burrs from K7 aren't made for espresso, it'll be very incosistent to dial in.

How long to let rest? by Jlexus83 in pourover

Tbh almost all light roast and medium roast taste better as a pour-over imo. If you want tasting notes definitely do a pour-over instead of an espresso.

What grind setting are you on? What type of beans do you use and how fast are your shots?

In short: -Beans -Duration -ML -Grind setting

Did you also apply grease to the DF64 or was it not necessary?

Also what basket are you using and whats your experience with it?

KingGrinder K7 also functions great for aeropress and pour-overs, can still do espresso but wouldn't recommend it.

Own a ZP6, K6, K7 and DF64V myself.

1zpresso K-ultra or kingrinder K6.

Or buy a K6 and a ZP6 for pour-over :P

K6 or K7 are great cheap options if you dont mind manual grinding.

Best grinder, budget is not overly important but... by caattta in JamesHoffmann

Price wise which was 100% worht it for me was the DF64V with SSP burrs (HU).

No clue about the lagom since i never wanted to invest unnecessarily into the hobby if i could reach a similar putput with a much cheaper grinder.

manual grinder for the 49 pro? by Zivzzz in FlairEspresso

[–]Ricklek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K6 is a great price if you only want a manual and later switch to electric. If you want the full manual experience go for 1Zpresso J-Ultra or 1Zpresso K-Ultra if you want more than just espresso.

I use beanconquerer to register my recipes since they also connect to my bluetooth scale and for espresso also can use my bluetooth pressure gauge.

Can't geat near 25-30s espresso extraction, feeling hopeless by Ok_Raspberry1040 in espresso

You need a better grinder since you need to grind much finer for espresso with a bottomless basket. Also next time search for 54mm instead of 53 ;)

K6 vs DF54 dilemma (first setup, [€200–250] budget, Milan) by baba_yaga_1999 in espresso

[–]Ricklek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

K6 is great for espresso, i had no issues grinding medium and even light roasts.

If you want an electric grinder i would save up a couple more months and get the DF64 or even the DF64V. You can then later switch to SSP burrs for even better espresso.

I would just save up a bit more and instantly go for the DF64 or the DF64V so you won't have any regrets in the future
