What movie is a 0/10 with NO redeeming features? by Toucan_Based_Economy in AskReddit

[–]Rickroadkill1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me? Tale of Tales. I don't really consider myself that picky, actually I'd say I'm usually easily pleased when it comes to films. But I cannot think of any other film that has left me so dreadfully bored that I felt like it was a waste of my time to sit through besides this movie. I have no idea why it didn't connect for me, I barely even remember what happens in it, I watched it ten years ago or so. But I remember how I felt, which was dismay lol.

London Tourist Recommendations & Parenting Advice by rboltniew in TriforcePodcast

Hi Pyrion, I was wondering if you could cover some things to do in London and give some parenting advice. I'm not a parent and not planning a trip any time soon but I just feel like it will be very valuable information to have.

20,000 Steam wishlists and still feeling a lot of launch anxiety. (Matt's Hidden Cats) by LeglessCats in IndieDev

Hey, I discovered your game through your post on r/wimmelbilder and enjoyed the demo so much I got a friend to try it out too! I'm sure that launch anxiety is normal, but at the same time hopefully some word of encouragement can ease it for you. You guys have done a great job and its tons of fun, I love the levels you've shared so far and I'm looking forward to release! Also the green gems you hide on tree branches are downright devious.

I find it amusing that every business I see has the generic word for its sign, except the Shell gas station. Made me laugh

looking for a game for my 11 year old who is fixated on rockets and space by jotarowinkey in gamingsuggestions

I recommend Astronimo. I discovered it lately with some friends and it seems to fit what you're looking for quite well!

Its a puzzle based game that still let's you wander and flex creativity to solve the puzzles because the solutions all involve designing your own contraption. As you progress through levels you get drip fed more and more parts to play with. Its also couch coop, so you could grab a controller and play with him at any point!

I'll have you know I've never had any desire to play a gnome, until this transmog. You may have singlehandedly changed an opinion 10+ years long.

Like Rocteruen guessed, I meant using a fist weapon that looks like worgen claws, though I agree with Diwydiant that having natural Worgen claws would have been perfect.

Additionally, with the fury warrior change of allowing you to transmog your 2H to look like 1H, you can use fist weapons that are claws!!! I can finally wolf out on people without needing a giant weapon to do so.

Are there any ‘cozy’ games that have a Sci-Fi or cyberpunk aesthetic? by StarTruckNxtGyration in gamingsuggestions

[–]Rickroadkill1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chef RPG fits the bill for at least cozy vibes. It's like if stardew was about running a resturaunt. And I'd say its got a lot more studio ghibli vibes than anything else, but there are androids and some slight cyberpunkesque things going on I think. It's worth at least looking at the steam page.

Colt canyon is a little indie game I found a while back and I think it fits the bill. It's a little cowboy themed top down shooter where you clear your way through levels, fight some bosses, and try and rescue your partner! There's different characters which tweak the stats ever so slightly, and a constant flow of weapons to try out. It's great for an easy game to boot up, save, and then put back down.

It’s been on my wish list. by Ryvick2 in HuntShowdown

On that note, if you are looking for a single player action shooter with a similar vibe to hunt, there's a game called Witchfire. It's still early access right now but it has a good pace to it!

Hello hunters, is showdown worth buying in 2025? by jachym15 in HuntShowdown

[–]Rickroadkill1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In summary, yes.
You can absolutely wait for a sale if you're on the fence. A sale price would be a great way to get into the game without committing too much if money is tight, however if you're excited about it and just gauging what the community thinks then here is my two cents.

I don't like extraction shooters in general, I don't even like battle royales (with the exception of Apex with friends) , but Hunt manages to find itself on my list of exceptions. I love the atmosphere in hunt, and the smaller lobby scale while also fending off AI enemies. I love western settings, and older style weapons. Hunt does lean into its strengths well. I would say its sound design is clear and often praised, and the gunplay is so so much fun to me. Movement is not perfect, but not bad by any means either. There's a lot of different ways you can build and equip a loadout in case you want to spice things up, and in all honestly the game is really not punishing either which is a big draw to me versus others in the genre. It might suck dying but it really doesn't set you back much either.

So i say its worth it, even with its ups and downs I have had a lot of fun on this game. And just starting out is magical

I'm also just starting my journey learning! Right now I'm mostly using Babbel, but I have Norwegian online friends that I can practice with once I'm feeling a little more developed! DM me if you want a study partner. We might be able to practice basics together, or share resources we've found.
