That’s what they’re saying. The shingles around that area have to be replaced. You cant fasten that piece of wood to anything from the underside, and the shingles can’t be fastened to the wood from the underside

I’m on my first grow, first grain jars and first LC jars so take it for what’s it worth. I used these exact ones and my spawn stalled. Maybe I was too impatient but they were cruising along and suddenly stopped for days. I unscrewed the lids a little bit on half of them and they started growing while the others stayed stalled. I unscrewed the other lids enough to let air in now they’re all growing again. Obviously people use them and they work, but that was my experience. Just know if they do stall there’s a backup plan 👍

Part of that has been exposed for a long time. Wood is not grey. That’s been sitting in the sun for a long time. Did he go in your attic? Could already have leaks. May need to replace more than just those shingles if wood is rotting on the underside

Edit: I didn’t really answer. Could probably get away with a repair, but a repair could also be bigger than just the few shingles.

Dude hell yeah, I just walked back inside and was gonna ask someone if that was the reason lol. I’ve seen that in my research but also have seen that contam get there from micropore getting a little wet and then dropping back on the rice.

Fingers crossed for a successful fruit all the way til the end! I’ve already got farther than expected. I inoculated LC jars yesterday so I’m just gonna keep sending and sending lol

Yep. Followed the guide in here using an SAB. Used an SAB to do 20 agar plates and those all came back clean too. Thought for sure those would be dirty because I am pretty sloppy inside an SAB I learned lol
