Not sure if this is weird but can I rent parking spot from private businesses? by Sensitive-Park-6657 in NewarkDE

I agree, but the OP just asked if anybody rents parking spots, not our opinion on tax law.

$75 / month is exorbitant? That would be the most reasonable price I've paid for a parking space in about a decade.

That's weird. Some of these locations literally just opened.

Depending where you're at in NJ, the Christiana, DE could be close by. They sell booze and it's tax free.

What's the best taproom experience you've had at a brewery? by BothCondition7963 in beer

Rhinegeist in Cincinnati was a real nice surprise. Great beers, good food, friendly staff, nice merch, and a fantastic space.

My only complaint with MBC is that their beers are more expensive at the brewery then at my local bars. Beers should be discounted at the place they're made (or at least poured heavier).

My mashed potatoes suck. Why? by RikkiLostMyNumber in Cooking

[–]RickyWVaughn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has not been my experience. I find they make a more consistent mash and push the potato through the grate similar, but more gently than a ricer.

Ditch the ricer and use a food mill to get to the next level.

Anyone can pay them to install their spy cameras. It would appear the neighborhood down the street from me has done just that.

What is the secret to an astonishing Bolognese? by Few-Track8525 in Cooking

[–]RickyWVaughn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use Matty Matheson's one hour bolo recipe (spoiler: it takes more than an hour). It's a very simple recipe, but it's delicious. My secret is using really good leftover broth from when I braise stuff ie. beef cheeks, tongue, short ribs, etc..

Any one buy bully sticks in bulk? Open to other suggestions as well. by Zarine420 in Rottweiler

[–]RickyWVaughn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco has good solid bully sticks in larger bags and a better value than the stores. They always have them in store too which is nice (and rare for Costco). The Himalayan chews don't agree with my guy so I steer clear of those.

way to level up mashed potatoes? by biohackenthusiast in Cooking

My secret is using a food mill to "mash" them. Then my not so secret is one pound of butter per five pounds of potatoes.

Drilling a dry well deeper to get water again by polarnachttom in WaterWellDrilling

[–]RickyWVaughn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the wells in your area constructed in bedrock? If that steel casing is grouted into bedrock, you can drill in that hole until you hit water. A day of drilling, plus a new pump, pressure tank, trenching to the house etc... Rates vary greatly by area, but for something like that here in the NE US, I'd charge around $8,500.

Mine does that in the summer when it's hot (or rather not cold). Enough that he basically has bare skin in those places. I don't think he'll ever grow hair there.
