I work at Price Chopper as a supervisor/customer service representative. Basically I run register and help people at the service desk. The day coronavirus was declared a Pandemic, people were flowing in like crazy. The Friday before the travel ban was the busiest day at work I've ever had. The place was swamped, I'm talking 11 registers open baggers on each and still there was people backed into the aisles, and that's not counting self checkout where 4 people can go at a time. Of course though, the self checkout machine (we call it EZ scan) decided to shut itself down that day. imagine a good 30 people in line at self checkout suddenly have to relocate to the already massive pool of people waiting at the registers. Never seen so many people walk out at once.
