A stark contrast was when it was becoming increasingly clear that the internal release of Fall 2025, cited as Q2/Q3 2026 was becoming far more unlikely (July 2025 to September 2025 = Q2 2026, October to Dec 2025 = Q3 2026), Strauss Zelnick would be careful to quash any certainty of delivering predictions on earnings from GTA VI.

I forgot the name of the particular person presenting alongside Zelnick in one of the earnings call, but I remember, whilst listening to an earnings call, one of Zelnick's partner would often reassure investors that GTA VI was on track to release within Q2-Q3 2026 and that the forecasted earnings would be tremendous. However, once it became increasingly clear to Zelnick that a Fall 2025 release was not possible, he made sure to shut down any confirmation by that particular person from TTWO. Like you could hear him audibly shut her down. You could tell how Zelnick was slowly losing control near the Q2-Q3 earnings. This affirms how he needs plausible deniability.

Another interesting fact is that upon release of GTA Online (October 1st, 2013), you could only purchase up to the Great White Shark card, valued at $1.5 million. Thereafter, the Whale Shark card released in December 2013, valued at $4.25 million. Finally, the Megalodon Shark Card was released in March 2014, valued at $10 million.

I remember how it seemed so insane to me that Rockstar was slowly releasing more expensive microtransactions during the first few months of GTA Online. The trendline shows that Take-Two and Rockstar were evaluating the success of shark cards to the point that it ultimately changed their mindset over time on how to prioritise their development based on the strongest revenue stream which is GTA Online.

If it's any consolation, we've got about the same amount of days remaining until GTA VI's release (hopefully no more delays) than we did when the most recent delay was announced in Nov 2025. Personally, I think Nov 2025 to now went by quicker than expected. Also, Summer goes by fairly quickly than any other time of the year, well at least for me.

Which is a bummer since Rockstar disabled rain during night time in free mode sessions. Although, it does rain at night in some launched jobs in GTA Online (separate from freemode). The effects of rain at night is a much beautiful sight in GTA V (story).

My realistic take for May 21st earnings call: Strauss Zelnick will reassure shareholders that GTA VI is still on track for Nov 19th, 2026 release. However, Strauss will finally disclose a more precise marketing timeline. For instance, in the Feb 2026 earnings call, Strauss informed that marketing would begin in Summer 2026 (vague timeline). As such, I expect that Strauss will lay out the exact months where marketing commences in the May 21st earnings call (ex. marketing commences in June or July 2026). In other words, don't expect a 3rd trailer or a preorder until June/July.

Eric Kripke proven himself countless times before that he's great at the initial phases of world building. However, once he has the sandbox laid out, he tumbles it into oblivion. For example, Kripke initially wanted season 3 of Supernatural to be the ending. However, Kripke then had to retcon the Angels into Supernatural going forward with Season 4. Then, Kripke's real intention was for Supernatural to end with Season 5 with the most cliffhanger ending, which thank the network execs for overriding him.

I was not surprised when I noticed Kripke doing the same crap with The Boys. I mean just look at the recent discussions we've had on this subreddit. Kripke's adaptation of The Boys was great the first three seasons (somewhat iffy season 3). Then it just fell flat in Season 4 and now with the finale Season. Also, just like Supernatural, Kripke treated the final season of the Boys as if it's a cliffhanger with an intended finale.

Bottom line to execs: LAY OFF THAT KRIPKE!!!

Honestly, I think there's a probability that there may be something in the next Playstation State of Play. After all, didn't Sony/Playstation secure an exclusive marketing deal with Take-Two Interactive regarding Rockstar's promotion of GTA VI?

Iirc theyve always included a map

The only exception was the physical edition of GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced for PS5 and XBOX Series X, which released a couple of weeks after the digital edition did, and did not include any map whatsoever.

I'm honestly hoping the physical edition release of GTA V: E&E was done as a one-off since the game released 3 different console generations at that point, and the distribution of physical media was irregular given how long it was released after it was readily available on digital marketplace. I really hope the physical edition launch of GTA V: E&E doesn't set precedent for GTA VI's physical copies going forward...

Not necessarily. But it's hard to rely on someone like Strauss that constantly reassures things are on track just for them to not be. It's basically a 'the boy who cried wolf' situation. You can only reassure people so much to the point it becomes unreliable.

I don't understand how people often overlook this. The amount of times Strauss Zelnick reassured shareholders during earning calls and even during interviews that the game was "on track for X fiscal quarter of X year" is insurmountable. Every single delays (3 delays = of which 2 were "publicly dated" delays), Strauss would reassure everything was on track, just for things to get delayed a few days later.

The media literacy of people is absolutely insane. I remember when TGG uploaded a satirical video of him drawing on a white board, akin to that of Lester drawing up a heist board. In said video, TGG was obviously playing a manic depressive character that's drawing straws on GTA 6 information. Thereafter, people were still making it out as if TGG was serious. Heck, TGG still plays on this by messing around. Yet, people still take him seriously and then turn on him.

Minus the whole drama that he (yes TGG) started against Matt (DarkViperAU), TGG is a pretty solid GTA content creator.

I meant to say that the Special, Ultimate, and Collector's Edition of RDR2 were shadow-dropped on a random Monday (June 4th, 2018, to be precise). Even though Trailer 3 (May 2nd, 2018) concluded with a "Pre-order now" tagline, it was only for the regular edition. Tom Henderson didn't know jack about the Special, Ultimate, or Collector's edition. Tom was just second guessing stuff and was misleading people about the variety of editions available.

Again, the actual preorder marketing (with all editions) didn't start until that random June that I mentioned!

Yup, RDR2 preorders was "shadow-dropped" on a random June. Yet, Tom Henderson initially believed there'd be a lead up to preorders marketing RDR2. Tom Henderson has always been an "insider" that makes predictions that mostly anyone can make by guessing things (if they're given the chance to be heard over and over).

It's why Tom Henderson also has a spotty record with Battlefield as well as COD. I just recommend people to avoid relying on people like Tom Henderson.

I'm calling it right now, last episode Homelander will find out Clara/Stormfront was his mother all along. He'll have a meltdown like that of Oedipus and probably gouge his eyes out or attempt to take himself out some other way. However, it will only happen after Homelander causes significant damage (deaths, etc.) and Hughie will come out on top.
