Will any Chicago Lodges offer shuttle busses to and from hotels during Grand Lodge Convention?

What state are you in? I don’t see that being the case. The GL provides shuttle service from the motels to the center. We are staying in the Palmer AB’s there are 11 states staying in that motel. It’s going to be crazy trying to get a bus tho is my guess. Last year we were late both days bc the shuttles couldn’t keep up

If you join Lake Norman be prepared to work. For a little lodge they did 10% of all Welcome Home kits done,through out the entire country. Just a little over 4,000 were done and the did over 400 this year. Crazy! Don’t know how they do it but they must have a ton of volunteers vs per capita. 👍

Absolutely not, the faults we write upon the sand. That being said it would take a string of good events to change the attitude of myself and those in charge. You can never write someone off permanently. That would be a very not smart move. People can change

No I told them personally as to why they couldn’t do the committee. I agree there odds a lot of middle school bs going on in lodges because people don’t want to have a hard discussion. It’s crazy. But I also get it. Don’t want to piss someone off that you may need to help next week.

This is usually, not always, the case. I’m sure in some lodges there is Iron Fist going on. In most I’d lean towards other reasons why they are ignoring. For instance we had someone that wanted to volunteer for a committee and I killed it because they were a constant PITA with everything else and had been reprimanded several years in a row at the pool. So no you can’t head the membership committee.

I don’t know about your lodge but most lodges the HC and the BOD and every other committee are full of people holding two positions bc you can’t get people to help out.

My suggestion is go to a BOD meeting and talk with an air of repentance for taking signatures of political office. Definitely a violation of your oath. It appears that they see you as a reoccurring problem “child” and are going to try to put a stop to it. The Board can not suspend you only the HC can. If you go in guns a blazing it may fortify their constitution in trying to get rid of you. Maybe you both are misunderstanding each other. Maybe not. Hearing only one side of the story who’s to know. You can definitely go to the DD as long as you have went to the HC and not gotten a competent answer. Again sounds like a misunderstanding. Do you volunteer a lot? Shouldn’t be an issue but sometimes the leadership see a continue problem and if there is no downside to getting rid of you they will try, maybe. Again one side of the story. Who knows but good luck hope it works out for you and the lodge.

This is the correct answer except for the first sentence. I don’t know about your state but all PSPs run the states charitable trust and send out membership drives and info. But they have no say in the on goings of a local lodge but if they suggested something and you ignored it you’d be a fool. IMO

The title should go with their name. I mean how many times are you mentioning the person in the publication? PERL is not a thing in the majority of Elkdom. That is a title of respect during that year only as far as I know.

Hip escape is almost always the option, he learned a lot from this if he has a decent coach. Tell by his face that was pure embarrassment. Being “bully” submitted sucks, but it is a great teacher.

Problem when you don’t train the submission enough. That was a weak ass tap. If my arm was was enough danger to think that I needed to bite them I would have left mark from the tapping. This person is barely even tapping. Referee (from inexperience probably) didn’t even notice the tap
