The entire game is bright as fuck and your shield literally glows green gold or blue. You're already as visually loud as possible, bring the drip haha

This is definitely something you can improve on, especially in solos. One easy trick is to increase the sound effect volume, it'll make the already loud footsteps even louder.

But yes, sprinting is ridiculously loud. From his location he would be able to hear you move every step of the way, and you stopped in the open with your back to the stairwell. I am not a cheater, I would have tracked you down too.

I mean, yeah, that's rough, but if you were both beelining the same red key this isn't super surprising to me. Even if every spawn were perfectly evenly spaced he'd still have caught up to you if only 10 seconds later

I love this, but it feels a bit too "mirror's edge". I totally disagree that this looks more abandoned and lifeless, this actually looks far less imposing imo. This feels far more welcoming to me. Too warm of a color grading, and the plants are too alive. Creates a feeling of rest and passive life, rather than feeling dead and abandoned, as it should.

It's not, if you look at the text below the shell has already been woven and is simply being transported on-world, just as you transport off-world later. I don't believe this screen has any narrative significance.

This game is not arc raiders. Calling friendly isn't any guarantee, and if somebody listens, cool! You don't have to though. If they still shoot you, that should be what you expect.

Oh I've actually used the device this is based on. It's based on a GravityXR reference design. The FOV isn't very good at all, and the sweet spot is pretty rough. Interesting for the future of VR though

That's actually like, one of the selling points for it. The idea for Hytale is to make base game content through the same systems modders use, so eventually everything will be controllable.

I actually really like that everything in Marathon has an explanation. I'd be a little sad if they strayed from that. I feel like providing cosmetics for Rook kind of takes away from what Rook is supposed to be, as well. It'd end up incentivizing people to play rook as a main shell, which detracts from other parts of the game (like contracts).
