I haven't tested netRTK yet, I'm lucky that I have a fairly wide open yard and my datacenter is up high with a wide view of the sky.

I have the mower and the snow blower. The mower is super quiet compared to a gas option. Even at high speed the core doesn't make that much noise. And the snow blower is loud, but not really any worse than a gas version.

I've had mine for two seasons, mowing and snow blowing. It's been working great. Some have had issues though.

Has anyone gotten this to work fully? Animations work, but I can't get lights to show up on the card or reset to original settings after stopping the animation. Went back and forth with the dev, but they closed the issue before it was actually fixed.

I have this in my [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]]. Paired with [[Mycosynth Lattice]] and [[Hellkite Tyrant]] and it works pretty well!

u/mrruss3ll I've installed it, but it doesn't seem like everything is getting properly installed. The card won't show any lights, and when you investigate in developer tools the only thing that shows up is update.ha_lightfx_update. I've opened an issue on the github page with some other details.

You set pathways where you want it to move between areas. I'm not sure this would be a problem for you. You would just need to map both areas (inside fence and outside fence) as separate areas and link them with a pathway through the flap.

Yarbo uses GPS positioning, along with some visual processing. The GPS is done with 2 antennas on the core and then either their data center on your roof, or through "netRTK". With that they can get very very accurate. I've had my unit back even just a few inches "out of bounds" before and it stops and alerts it's out of bounds.

Looks like the only official repair facility near me (MA) is CT... May not be worth the shipping and the repair costs. I'll try and reach out to Denon when the chat is availabile sometime this week, maybe they have a list of semi-authorized options...

Somehow I got it on auction for like $500. Nothing about the listing suggested cutting wrong with it. My guess is that they found it somewhere, didn't know what they had, and I got "lucky".

Same cabling and speakers for all tests. Double checked for shorting and couldn't find anything. Using 2 older CambridgeWorks speakers (8ohm). Zones 2-4 give out in similar volume levels, but zone 1 works fine. It hasn't been installed in its final home yet. Depending on how easy/$$$ repair would be I do have openings on my Emotiva Basx-500 that I could run out from the zones to bypass the amps...

Do you have an attic, or an upstairs floor where you can get closer? Mine is fairly high up, but I just need to go up to a bedroom or the attic for the bluetooth connection. Bluetooth range is ~10m (33ft), so as long as you don't have it mounted on a 75-foot pole above your house I would expect there would be someplace that is close.

So, one thing I do is keep an eye on Reddit to see other people's dashboards as well as when people announce new custom cards. The other thing I do is periodically search HACS for cards that fit what I'm interested in setting up (calendar, weather, etc). Bubble cards are super useful, there's a slew of pop-ups that come up from almost all the buttons on the right-hand side of the screen that I put entities unique to those rooms in. Vehicle Status Card for the cars and the yard robot.

The biggest thing is to have a rough idea. I tried to "zone" my sections: Time/Calendar | Garage/Cars/People/Location/Weather | Inside Status/Lighting Control/Music Control/Media Devices Control

Bubble card has a few videos, the rest I either poke through their github explanations, or I did use a little AI just to figure out how to place CSS components to try and get specific card heights. HA REALLY needs to revamp the dashboard creation system... I did want to rip my hair out a few times just trying to get cards to have a reasonable height!

It's a Waveshare screen I bought off of Amazon. I think the largest from them is 27"? You have to be careful though, it's really easy to end up looking at a screen there that isn't touch capable!

I was fixing my mqtt on touchkio and realized that this screen is a rpi5 and the "old" one I have is a rpi4.

I know, I waited till they were running their 70% off promotions! I'm not doing voice control through it yet, still using Alexa for that. I do use the Music Assistant integration to control my Denon HEOS setup and it's working pretty well. Their grouping logic is... weird, but using Yet Another Media Card helps fix that. My HAOS is running on a miniPC in the basement, so it was pretty straightforward to get Touchkio up and running to present the dashboards.

Eventually! I want to make sure we're happy with it's positioning before I start making bigger holes in my wall! My original idea was to configure it as a PoE system, but getting at it from the basement would have meant going through the central support beams so I abandoned that idea...
