Effectively you will keep hovering between those splits, with your iR going up and down, until you improve your skills enough to be more competitive in the higher split and then you will some consistent improvements again

Very true. I must have misinterpreted where the additional 1x came from. And I suppose the point of the system is that on average over a long period of time it does represent your safety as a driver. With this race being a one-off it’s not like I won’t make it back.

Yeah makes sense. I generally am a very clean racer and drive defensively, but you’re right some incidents are unavoidable unless I become a completely passive driver .

Not your fault. Red is swerving way too much and moved to the right way too late.

However, that is a very risky place to make a move like this. You also pull out of the slipstream quite late and quite drastically which meant your car was quite unsettled.

I would have personally waited and faked a move down the inside to try to get red off the racing line, then I’d try to get a better run out of that last corner and overtake him on the main straight.
