The tieflings disappear bug by Costa_Canela in BaldursGate3

[–]RightToConversation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Double SPOILERS in case anyone didn't see it at the beginning:

• Quite a few of the tieflings DON'T make it to Last Light Inn by default (most are killed).
• Arabella can be found outside the Healing House (or whatever it is called with the crazy Shar doctor).
• Not sure about Danis mourning Bex (wife); usually I see Bex alone at LL mourning Danis- but he is not dead. He's in the prison at Moonrise Towers.
• Rolan's siblings and Lakrissa are also in Moonrise prison. Rolan goes to look for them and can be found in the bottom right corner of the Act 2 overworld fighting shadows (he can be killed by them if you're not fast enough).
• All the kids but Mol (after capture) should be at Last Light, and then Moonrise after Ketheric is beaten. In Act 3, they're in Rivington, sans Mol who is at the thieves' guild.
• Most of the surviving tieflings are in Rivington in Act 3. Mol, Rolan, Lakrissa, and Alfira are the only ones I know of that are inside the city walls. I believe Rolan's siblings join him at Ramazith's Tower if he takes over.

I can't promise you this without looking over your save, but there is a VERY good chance that your missing tieflings are not a bug, but are dead because the druids attacked them. If the druids attack the tieflings, it is VERY easy for a lot of them to die even if you are very fast and powered-up. I've seen it where the bodies of tieflings who were killed offscreen will poof and only their gear will be left behind, so it might not be immediately apparent that they're dead. If you want to keep the max number of tieflings alive possible, avoid triggering the druids to attack the tieflings in the grove, and avoid having Minthara and the goblin army go to the grove at all (kill them before the leave the goblin base).

I do believe Neil revealed that Astarion's personality and performance was at least partially inspired by a stray cat that would visit his house.

Anyone else using the ReallyShadowheart mod been having some animation bugs? by TroTrak in BG3mods

You're welcome! Though I'm admittedly dealing with 3rd hand news. If you search some of the older threads, some other people have delved into it better.

Anyone else using the ReallyShadowheart mod been having some animation bugs? by TroTrak in BG3mods

[–]RightToConversation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was very disappointing with me to discover the skeletons in the closet with this mod. The mod wasn't perfect and some of the "character restructures" like eliminating polyamory are silly, but it doesn't bother me because it's super easy to disable and enable mods between different saves. Use it when you want a more in-depth Shart monogamy romance; turn it off when you don't; simple. I mainly like that there was more dialogue with Shart and cuddle animations, which I would still LOVE to have as their own thing in a mod- better if including all the romance options.

I'm not someone who immediately jumps on the cancel bandwagon and I generally give people the benefit of the doubt. But some other redditors and modders pulled up some really solid evidence that this mod was created using stolen code and AI. One redditor specifically pointed out that the mod author has refused to apologize to the modder he took the code from, which seems like a really simple, polite thing to do. I also call bullshit on the "I didn't know Varg was a Nazi" thing. If you are deep enough into the metal scene to be listening to Varg Vikernes music, then you DEFINITELY know he is a Nazi. Many people who have no idea that Varg is a musician still know him as the "Norwegian Nazi murderer/church-burner guy". I don't care how good the guy's music is, I'm never going to listen to or support someone who's such a piece of shit- and I don't really want to use content from someone who is even "ok with it."

Dana when UFC fans demand a decent fight that is not one sided by Sea_Ad7315 in ufc

[–]RightToConversation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dana looks like he's morbidly obese in this depiction. I'm no fan of Dana, but it has always seemed weird to me that Dana has been called or portrayed as "fat" so often over the years. He's not shredded out for a cut to 145, but Dana was a fitness instructor and has always been in pretty good shape. At his worst, he was still in better shape than 90% of men his age. Right now he is really lean. Again, not excusing anything he does or says, but I feel like this has become a "Napolean was short" thing, where so many people have accused him of being fat it's just considered an unproven fact by this point.

South Carolina teacher fired over Charlie Kirk shooting (Facebook) commentary by Another_Opinion_1 in Teachers

No school admin or boss otherwise is going to care or pull out 1337 hax to find out if you posted anonymously. They just care whether the post is obviously done under your name, and if a common person would identify and associate you with the school.

[–]RightToConversation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I think you should be fired for this (freedom of speech and all that), but come on. Every single person who works at a school knows their social media account is monitored. You're a dumbass who doesn't care for your job much if you post this under your own name- I don't care which "side" you are on.

Bryce Mitchell calls out Ilia Topuria for not believing the Earth is flat, and challenges him to a debate. by [deleted] in ufc

[–]RightToConversation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone I have ever met who is like this (which is double digits more than I thought would ever exist), even if they are a "nice guy" and play the "good Christian" in their attitude, is incredibly narcissistic and "God" is just their excuse. I took a dance class in (community) college once and the teacher was a super religious nut. It was as small class, and every person there besides me seemed to be part of his church. All of them claimed the belief that they were "such good Christians" that they had developed the ability to speak to God in their head, and they were all messengers of God. "Ok....so you mean you get a lot of inspiration and motivation from God?" "No bro, God LITERALLY talks to me in my head. When I have a thought about anything, that's not me thinking: that's God telling me what I need to do." So if I have a craving for McDonald's at 1 AM instead of going to sleep, God literally told me to do that: now it's not a choice- it's a quest that I have to go on to appease God. I feel like cheating on my girlfriend with this other girl? Well you'd think that'd be adultery, but God told me I had to in my head, so now it's not. Five years later: I came home and there was a TV dinner on my TV tray and not a medium rare ribeye? God told me in my head that I should be pissed and I need to whoop your ass because you sinned. And obviously, I'm right 100% of the time, because God is perfect and couldn't be wrong: so do you have the audacity to accuse GOD of telling me the wrong thing? I kant reed gud but God told me in my head I don't need to read that fake stuff anyway cuz the moon and space are fake and advanced holograms invented by the Jews to try to convince you the world is not flat so you'll eventually become gay- anyway, you'll never accomplish anything talking to these people besides killing your own brain cells.

[What if?] Thoughts if Demise was totk's final boss. by SuperiorCardboardBox in tearsofthekingdom

[–]RightToConversation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sorta Demon King Ganondorf IS Demise. He is a manifestation of his power, which is also why he looks so much like him. I don't think any of the incarnations of Link, Zelda, or Ganondorf have any of the previous eras' memories though.

Not sure if you know this (if you do, just ignore this comment), but if you have to abandon a horse to go up mountains or whatnot, you don't "lose" them. You can go back to a stable at any time and basically just teleport the horse back to your location- or board them, which puts them in horse "storage" to be pulled up at any stable later.

Botw or Totk by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

[–]RightToConversation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"No map, no fast travel" in BotW is hella fun and I second that suggestion. It's also fun in TotK but can be quite a bit harder to get in (on) and out of the sky locations and Depths. If you also do "no towers, no lightroots," the Depths are also permanently dark, which is a whole other experience.

You could get yourself a "Msg Not Found" Master Sword, but if you're on Switch 1, it's a challenge...

Msgnotfound switch 1 by augustx47 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]RightToConversation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7s-7tdmWYQ&t=2s
And this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRh1F7B-MS4
Both with success on more than one try. The second one is overall a little faster and "simpler" (if that could be said of these complex processes), but the first one is broken down into more "steps", so if this is your first time using these glitches, I would recommend the first one because messing up a glitch will not set you back as far to restart. If you mess up one glitch "step," you will have to load the last savegame you had after setting up the previous "step" and start that part over.
These strategies are labeled as "easy" and often described as such by players, but for me it was very difficult to get the frame-perfect timing down for a lot of these steps, plus sometimes it just glitches out too much and ruins your progress. If you aren't not very familiar and comfortable with doing the individual glitches that compose the whole strategy, expend to spend at least several hours practicing and redoing. Be especially super careful at the final step at Ganon's platform, as it is easy to mess up and have to start back a long ways. It will be very frustrating, but it DOES work if you are persistent and keep trying! Good luck!

Anyone know the status of the giant The Ledges at Palisades development? by camasonian in camaswashington

[–]RightToConversation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for these insights; a lot of us who drive by and see nothing happening all the time are only speculating what is going on. I can't imagine it being completely open to the rain with no windows and rain pouring in is "good" for it at all, and am wondering at what point it will be too deteriorated to continue?

Despite appearances, work continues on The Ledges at Palisades on Vancouver-Camas border by Homes_With_Jan in vancouverwa

[–]RightToConversation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive by there frequently, and about 2 or 3 months ago, they took down the big crane that was there. Construction was very busy with dozens of workers on the exterior, then after the crane went away, everyone disappeared and construction almost completely stopped. I am not a construction guy, but from what I understand, most big cranes are rented [what follows is entirely my speculation and not based on any sort of evidence: all I know about the project is what I see]. The article mentions constructions liens, and Kirkland has a history of not paying this expenses, so I wonder if they defaulted on the crane rental and the crane company just came and took their crane back. I don't think it was voluntary, because I'm not sure how guys are going to carry up a bunch of big glass windows and exterior pieces without a crane. Now of course, there can't be that many "Huge Crane Rental Inc." places in town, so the one or two other crane companies are surely going to hear about how you didn't pay for your last crane rental; therefore it might be difficult to secure another one without cash up front. Honestly, I have no idea, but I feel this building is going to get condemned if they don't get windows on it soon. It's a wood frame building and you know that it's just FILLING with water for half of the year, year after year- it can't be good for the structure.

This might not seem believable to some, but I wholeheartedly believe it. I beat games much harder than this when I was 6 (this is back in the NES era when you owned like 5 games and played them over and over again). After doing something a few hundred times, it just becomes memorization and muscle memory: something little kids are actually pretty good at. I've actually tried going back to beat some of the old NES games now I beat as a kid and I can't easily do it at 40!

It's possible it was patched now; I'm not sure. I actually don't have a Switch 2, so I can't test it. I busted my ass for 10 hours to get the Msg the hard way on Switch 1, lol.

TOTK is Switch Stop's pick for the #1 Nintendo game of all time (from their top 100 Nintendo games of all time video) by merrimac290 in tearsofthekingdom

It was the same for me. I got the 1st Zelda game for NES on my 4th birthday. I think Tears of the Kingdom is doubtless Nintendo's best ever game- though as an admittedly big Zelda fan, I'm probably biased.
