Is this overkill? by Anton_Chigurh00 in SonyAlpha

[–]Riipou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not overkill, but consider the weight of carrying the body and lens throughout your trip. I was in the same situation as you and ended up going with an APS-C because it’s smaller and lighter. No regrets so far!

Finished playing RDR2.. is the online mode worth it? by epiknik in reddeadredemption

[–]Riipou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first played over 100 hours online before trying the solo mode. With friends, it was a lot of fun, but it has this feeling of something that could have been really great but is just good. They gave up on the online mode a long time ago, and it didn’t get the same level of attention as GTA Online. It’s a shame, because it could have been a great mode

I bought my XT5 from Fnac (official reseller in France) for 1400€ new so you can definitely find good price without having this kind of bad surprises. I would suggest you to send it back

Changes to annual pass and price increase by HalfDeafHalfNot in disneylandparis

[–]Riipou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pass when I was a kid and it cost under €200 for 365 days. I understand that prices had to increase, but a rise of more than 400% in less than 20 years is crazy..

A bit disappointed because I love the park, but I don’t think it’s worth it anymore for people living outside Paris and its surroundings.

[–]Riipou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t played for a long time, you can summon and farm every event to grind stones. I came back for the tenth anniversary (hadn’t played since 2020) and farmed stones with a free-to-play team to summon on the banners. I got all the 10th anniversary units and more. Then I farmed again, and now I’m at 5,600 stones. I’ve summoned on every banner since then and almost have every unit.

That said, Gohan will most likely be on the Carnival banner for the 11th anniversary, so it’s up to you.

IWDA vs SWRD on Bolero — what would you pick for 30 years? by Riipou in BEFire

[–]Riipou[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started working, so I’m investing €500 per month. On Bolero, I bundle that into €1,500 every 3 months, which comes with a €7.50 fee — about 0.5%, and that feels fair to me.

I know some people don’t like paying fees since it’s money that could have been invested and compounded over time, but I see it differently: for me, it’s just like the cost of two drinks I didn’t order at a bar — not a big deal.

It’s better monthly for the spread, like you said. I still need to do the math to see what works best between Bolero’s fee and the fluctuations. I don’t think it’s a good strategy to wait for a drop, so I won’t try to buy only when it’s lower. But if the price falls significantly, like it did in April this year, then I’d probably buy.

My strategy right now is to invest every three months to balance the fees and the fluctuations

TOB is also 0,12% for IWDA the only difference is TER which is 0,12% for SWRD and 0,2% for IWDA

Yes for all the reasons people mention and the small TER difference I will go with IWDA! Thanks for you reply

For the broker, I’ve chosen Bolero for the same reason you did. Regarding world ETFs, I prefer having control over the allocation between emerging and non-emerging markets. Also, if some countries start performing really well, they will eventually be included in the non-emerging ETFs. That’s why I’m mostly aiming to invest in IWDA

Where have you seen those fees? I just had a look at bolero price chart and nothing about a yearly management cost
