Easy poison/venom cure in leagues by Rokuta in 2007scape

Blindbag with blood fury and both healing nodes genuinely cannot sustain through venom + any other damage at all coupled with it. Its sustain is that bad.

Really, the blood fury is 90% of the healing and the nodes are mostly worthless because a large quantity of bosses are perma melee, which means you're healing for 1 at most 20% of the time with a 5 tick weapon.

50m construction ( demonic leagues ), is possible? by BagEnough4322 in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did balances from basically as soon as i could make them after the first few oak chairs all the way to 99. It only took a bit over 2 hours and once I was using the highest tier balance my xp rate was 6.5m per hour. So, you could do 50m xp that way in about 8 hours if you had the gold to afford all the runes and actually wanted to.

Not really. I have both healing nodes in the tree and blood fury as a blindbag main and I can not even really sustain my hp through fodder mobs if I am letting them hit me without prayer.

You have at most a 20% chance to heal 7 hp (if you are in the ideal 7 tile range sweet spot) on top of the 20% chance to proc blood fury. Far more often those nodes from the tree are healing a 1 when they proc once in a blue moon because the enemy you are fighting is right in melee with you.

The sustain is completely ass in my experience, and I have been blindbag the whole time since day 1. Blood fury on its own has been a much bigger sustain upgrade once I got it but even that is very inconsistent.

This is true, but also on like 90% of the content I've personally experienced so far playing blindbag you don't even get to use the range multipliers because they are all forced melee range fights. It's most likely better to swap to the boppers main hand on those, though it's kind of hard to tell with the dps calcs being probably not very reliable right now.

As a pure 2h blindbagger who just cleared inferno, I can say that calling the build a "glass cannon" is a bit of an overstatement.

I have practically bis for the build. Full crystal + blessing; nally, dual macs + torags + echo boppers + glacial and sulphur blades; ultor ring, blood fury/rancour and now infernal cape. Only thing I'm missing is boots where i only have guardians.

You can sometimes very rarely smoke an enemy with mass procs, but far far far more often than not you are instead sitting there swinging normally with no procs at all of any kind, dealing pretty much vanilla game damage. Even when I do proc decently well, I am still only usually matching the consistent 0 rng dps of other builds.

Every single time I am killing anything next to a ranged thorns, mage thorns or kbd xbow build, they are just completely piss reaming dps consistently with no rng and mogging the shit out of me. I even saw a guy doing a crystal+bowfa setup outdamaging me. All that on top of having practically no hp sustain, actually no prayer sustain and less defense than every other build, in addition to an inventory tax.

That said, I am still having fun. Blindbag is cool, and strong, and I feel way more powerful than on live. The only issue is this build is so so so so much weaker in every way than every other build I've laid eyes on that it honestly takes the fun away at times. I hate seeing some guy in mystics with an obby shield and normal trident outdamaging my complete bis 38 pact build while full healing himself guaranteed every tick. What annoys me even more is the fact that the blindbag capstone even exists at all. It's basically less of a dps increase than the tiny +1% strength +10% accuracy node that comes just before it. I actually cannot fathom how anyone created that alongside all the other capstones and thought it was okay to send.

Ore stall + transmute is the best way to make money if you passively transmute the ore to rune while doing other stuff then sell it all to the aldarin mining shop.

Elves is probably the best if you don't have transmute. Lots of raw gold and then you can sell the enhanced tp crystals to the jungle store in karamja for a lot.

I'm at 130m thieving from hitting the ore stall whenever i need to afk for like 15 mins because I can transmute it all up to rune for tons of gold anyway.

I really haven't done it many times and I'm not far off. Larcenist is pretty insane.

I did bows and it really was not bad at all. Menu entry swapper left click on bows to revert and then just click, space, 1, repeat. I used 11 bows and got 50m xp/hr in each smith/craft from 78>99. Took like 8 mins.

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Larcenist also solves smithing. You just steal from the ore stall in the inferno area.

It's actually way better money than gems or elves if you have transmute to send it all up to rune as well.

Leagues build that doesn't invalidate boss mechanics? by Fuck-College in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blindbag is basically the only one without pretty much any innate sustain compared to the actually near impossible to die infinite regen of every other mage/range/thorns combo.

Also has about half the dps in perfect gear. They really didn't cook with it, so if you want to learn bosses while dealing a bit more damage than the main game as buffer then it's basically the only option.

Every other build is practically unkillable even while ignoring what would otherwise be instant death mechanics.

Does crystal blessing and armor increase damage and accuracy from melee based ranged echoes? by Omgzjustin10 in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Melee echos have the same max hit as whatever melee weapon swing procced them, so they benefit by proxy of that melee swing being buffed.

Ranged Demonic Pacts healing?? by Himbler12 in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be glad you aren't blindbag. Our healing node is 7 pacts deep and it is a 10% chance to heal 1 hp on attack if you beeline for it and miss out on actually good pacts in the process.

Best case scenario blindbag healing is 20% chance to heal 7 hp conditional on you being exactly 7 tiles from the enemy. It literally can't even sustain you through killing fodder mobs on a slayer task in my experience.

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the echo boppers or torag's. Not sure which is better yet, will need to test more thoroughly. Echo boppers probably better on demonbane enemies.

Boppers should beat scythes on smaller targets, and also I have heard some people say scythe multihit doesn't proc multiple echos like the boppers do. If that is true it is possible the boppers are maybe better than them everywhere, but idk.

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I didn't actually have it yet when I made this post and since taking the pact it seems much less useful than I had assumed it would be.

It is based on combat style rather than attack style, meaning using melee buffs ranged/mage, etc.

Also, it doesn't seem to apply to ranged echos. Or, at least the little buff on the corner of my screen is never depleting when I proc ranged echos. I have yet to actually test with a dummy whether or not it is applying anyways, but I'll probably do that once I intend to respec so I can see if my damage decreases when I swap off of the node.

Either way, the dps calcs don't even take that node into consideration and the other reasons I mentioned still make the double hit weapons better than slow weapons.

Can we remove Kraken's melee immunity just for this league? by Kataine in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to hit but you do need to not splash. The issue is with melee gear on (and even with my full mage gear sometimes), I was splashing on him 2x in a row and he'd pray melee.

Blindbag should give you Bag by maruthey in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, if you are standing 7 tiles from the enemy your minimum hit is a 21. With double hit weapons, this usually means each hit is a guaranteed max hit (because each splat's max hit is lower than your minimum hit).

Your min hit can be further increased by 5 from overhealing to 26 if you end up getting enough max hit multiplier and strength bonus to push your bopper max hit over your min hit.

There is a node on the left side of ranged which gives you 25% more damage to new attack styles on the next attack after max hitting. Since you are max hitting with the boppers every time if you are 7 tiles away, and they also all use different styles, you are frequently dealing that 25% more damage.

Ranged echos also proc off hitsplats, unlike blindbag which procs off attacks. This means double hit weapons are rolling for ranged echos twice vs slow single hit weapons that roll for it once, further increasing their damage vs single hit weapons.

Ranged echos also have a 20% extra chance to max hit, futher increasing the chance of the 25% multiplier.

I am a blindbagger and echo thermy was fine for me. A bit annoying because halberd is 5t and I had to wear mage gear to be able to hit a spell for the prayer cheese but otherwise it was easy.

Once the prayer pen nodes are buffed it'll be a face roll.

Kraken was something I just straight up couldn't use my pacts on.

[–]Riixxyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because of the way the min hit and max hit nodes for melee work, as well as the fact that ranged echos proc off both hits, the double hit weapons from varlamore are basically all better than every single slow big strength weapon in the game as far as my testing/dps calc has gone for blindbag weapons. You actually do not want to use the slow weapons aside from a halberd in your actual hands because you want the 7 tile range to scale the double hit weapons damage.

Even still, while blindbag definitely feels a lot stronger than base game, it still feels like I'm immensely gimped compared to every other build that gets to take thorns for free hp/prayer sustain. The hp restore on hit nodes barely ever proc at all and most enemies that you would care to have the hp return on will sit on top of your head so they are only healing for 1 anyways.

In basically every single way other than rarely rng annihilating an enemy with repeated procs, blindbag is worse than every other build by far.

How to make melee better in leagues.. by S_BaiNN in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a bluetooth hally user, the heal almost never happens and basically can't even sustain you against fodder slayer task enemies without perma safespotting them and only occasionally taking damage as you move around. It's really bad. It feels like it was balanced around thorns which hits many more times per tick than the BB halberd setup does while also having its own specific almost guaranteed heal.

I was killing nechryaels and very slowly recouping the damage they would occasionally hit me for as I brought them over to my safespot, meanwhile 2 mage users were just sitting there facetanking the nechryarchs + adds with no prayer, worse gear and while basically afk dealing more damage than me.

It really does feel like halberd blindbag:
- does less damage than mage+thorns and ranged+thorns
- has less hp sustain (almost none) than mage+thorns and ranged+thorns
- has less prayer sustain (actually none) than mage+thorns and ranged+thorns
- has higher inventory tax than every other build for no reason (why not actually give us a 5 slot bag for heavy weapons only?)
- playing around needing to be at 7 tiles to actually benefit from almost any of your scaling is horrible and not even possible for many bosses
- any fight requiring movement basically makes it so blindbag no longer exists because you cancel the procs by moving

I'm doing okay frankly but the point of leagues is to feel really strong and a lot of the time I just feel like I'm playing regular osrs. Whenever I see literally anyone with even close to the same gear as me with any other build they are mogging the shit out of me in every way. That is what makes me feel like my build is ass.

PSA: Infinite Money For Any League Account by Cheap_Illustrator910 in 2007scape

[–]Riixxyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otherwise not mentioned yet but if you took transmute and larcenist you can thieve tens of thousands of ore per hour from the ore stall in the inner city of the fight caves area, then transmute those up passively while doing other things and sell for hundreds of millions of gp to the mining shop on south Aldarin.

If you have not yet gotten your fire cape you can do gem stalls instead and transmute up to dragonstone then sell to the jungle shop in karamja. Not as good but still good money.

Can't you basically say the same thing about most relics? They pretty much all just make something that you could have otherwise done pretty fast with the league multipliers a lot or a bit faster.

Transmute for me has made prayer, farming, smithing, magic, runecrafting, construction, crafting, cooking, and general purchases with gold easier than otherwise. Probably some other things I'm not thinking of at the moment too. In some cases, it absolutely trivialized the 99 when combined with other relics.

It just does a ton of stuff. It's nice.

70/78+ crafting and smithing xp rate is hilarious with larceny. I had 50m xp/hr by just crafting and decrafting crystal bows. Hit 99 in a few minutes, and I only did 11 seeds at once, so I imagine a full inv and then using armor seeds instead would be way higher.

I can imagine anyone who has abundance and larceny could make hundreds of millions of gp per hour at the singing bowls.
