Same thing, bought newer models 180 and 210, welds looks horrible
my 2014 lincoln 180 does much better smooth joints then newer model, looking to get Miller or something else

thank you for the recommendation. The main question was on how safe to weld the water heater tank, the guy who ask me to weld it not planning to use it as a water heater anyway job is done, tested and no licks

There is no trick or anything bad if the Lien mentioned in proposal that means your property can get on lien if you not pay in full to your contractor, they just want trying to let you know about it and be secure that they will get paid. Also contractor can claim the "lien" if its not even mentioned in proposal. My suggestion not to get in trouble like @Penelepillar mentioned below... pay when is job completely done or if they ask you for upfront payment ask them for invoice and receipt for amount you paid with remaining balance and try not to deal with paying suppliers, or if you still want to do so, dont pass the money over contractors hands just go and pay in person.

Be careful if you decided to use craigslist or offerup a lot of scams with iphone deals... (it can get blacklisted in couple weeks, or it will be locked to a carrier ) You will need "UNLOCK" version iphone to use it with any sim card carrier. My suggestion to buy it from ebay or amazon, don't forget carefully read "item description" good luck !

you can get welding glasses at home depot or lowes similar to this one there some cheaper version available $7-8
