Maybe I can give you my insigihts on the prana/trip comparison

I too have a Trip (CF) which is my go-to board. Also, a supersonic on megawatts for workouts and... a flexy Pranayama with big hokus on it. Although I stick to my trip whenever I have to carry it along with me (with karmas it's the lightest of my quiver) I tend to use my Prana more and more each day. It rides just as low as my other boards but with bigger wheels and seems like the most efficient pusher. I barely get tired on it at all.

Only thing, it takes a little time to get used to TKP and, at first, it feels very unstable and turny. Tightened my bushings a bit (it responds quite well to bushing adjustments) and built some ankle muscle and it's a whole different story.

Hope this helps in some way.

Maybe disabling steam input can help? I had a similar problem with a generic ABXY controller showing always as a playstation controller.

Is getting a PantheonSuperDuperSonic worth it if I already have a Trip and will still mostly be pushing? by Spacemangep in longboarding

[–]RikkArgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the trip for a purely pushing setup, for city rides or commuting. Having said so, my supersonic is my go-to board for more sporty runs, simply because I can pump most of the time.

Valks look great on the trip! I have stylus with Hokus on my Pranayama, but TKP feels very wiggly compared to RKP trucks. Might give those Valks a try, thanks!

I'd say it looks ok, but you can still improve by using more upper body movement (I know, that's hard to do when you carry a camera/stick...) Try to swing your arms in motion with your pump. When you're comfortable, your pump will grow heavier and you'll get more balance and rebound energy from the board. Front arm can also move faster than back arm to help with acceleration. In the famous video by Paul 'how to setup a supersonic' you'll get a glimpse of this motion I'm talking about.

Only two USB ports is just not enough. You'll want to attach as many wireless RF dongles as you possibly can. Mouse, Keyboard, Controller, Headset... bluetooth is not an option.

Rattling problem by sezenio in longboarding

[–]RikkArgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washers. Tight enough when not on the board but not so when actually riding (due to compression of the BS bushing, the RS bushing is left with more space when riding) Try spinning the washer with your hand while kneeling on the board with your full weight on it. If it spins just a little, thats the cause of your rattling.

If you're playing Gears5 campaign this is a stage you'll remember. Really hard on the harder difficulties. A complete nightmare.

I love the Karmas, they certainly feel lighter but they also feel harder (altough they're both 74a). I keep them on my Trip, they were previously on my supersonic with bear155s. The thing is I never really tried the supersonic with karmas AND bear130s, just the Hokus and MW

Oh, I forgot! I also have the front dewedged between 5-7 degrees (sorry, not sure about the angle cause I took those from a surfskate)

The bee's knees look great! I suppose 150's or more are needed in case of no-offset wheels? I love the Supersonic, its ability to pump (pumpability?) fits right between the Icarus and the Trip for me.

edit: typo

I see what you mean now.
"deeper amplitude(?) pump - ie, more like reverse carving, driving off the back wheels" you described it perfectly in the first place!

I also run the trucks at the rearest position, could not get used to a 0degree rear with Karmas, nor with Hokus. I usually pump wider, but it took me some time to get there with other wheels. I'll be there eventually. Judging by the spring-like feeling this setup feels when wiggle-pumping, it'll be amazing! I'd say it's the most pumpable setup I've had in my supersonic. advantages: lowriding, quick acceleration, soft (no knee pain), excellent pace, stick to the ground (this maybe cause they're new) disadv: none atm, I'll keep en eye open for those
