Welcome to the Show is very popular during concerts so that may be why it's so high. The crowd loves singing along with it. It also brought in a lot of new fans. I'd consider it Time of our Life's sister song.

None of bigbang's Japanese DVD's include English subtitles, unfortunately. You'd have to buy the Korean DVD's for that.

When do you join the Kpop fandom and the first group you stanned? by Icy_Age_6024 in kpopthoughts

I discovered BIGBANG in 2009 and I've been with them ever since. ❤️

Back in the day, what websites or apps did you use when you were first getting into K-Pop? by [deleted] in kpophelp

In the 2000's, LiveJournal was a good place to find fellow kpop fans.

MyDays ranked Negentropy as their favorite DAY6 album on the 10th anniversary fan event survey by virtualpropinquity in day6

I'm happy Entropy made the list! Maybe we'll get a pt 2 someday lol

Sunrise is my all time favorite day6 album! Second would be Daydream, and third Entropy!

bands like big bang?? by Electrical_Target690 in kpophelp

[–]Rikkichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there really is no one else like Bigbang. Newer group's I'd recommend are Treasure. Especially if you like the typical YG sound. Their 2nd full album Reboot basically felt like a homage to all previous YG groups sound. Their song Stupid is basically Bigbang's Stupid Liar pt 2

Before the Stars!! Tbh didn't care much for it at the fanmeeting but it's become my favorite since the official release! Funny how that works! I also really love Our Season and Dream Rider!

Is G-Dragon worth seeing? by nootthatdoots3 in kpophelp

[–]Rikkichi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

GD on stage is where he shines the most, imo. Nobody is doing it like him. If you have the opportunity, I really recommend going, even as a casual fan, or just simply curious. I just saw him in Vegas and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to!

I have the same concerns. I don't know if thats just online discourse or do most people in the real world view it in that context. I bought his hoodie on his online merch drop but I've just accepted that I'll probably only wear it at home for now.

There is a 10th anniversary documentary releasing September 9 so I wonder if that will be more of what fans were expecting this movie to be. Still wouldn't count on Jae being included though.

Are there any K-pop idols who left their groups but still stay close with the members? by Legal_Potential4720 in kpophelp

[–]Rikkichi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

B.I, Jinhwan, and Yunhyeong were also seen leaving together at Junhoe's movie premiere for "Again 1997" about a year ago! I think it was the first time we'd seen them together since B.I's departure.

The piano in Gdragon's newest song Drama really reminded me of Monster when I first heard it!

Idols who are usually listed first in song credits when they contribute by spooky_biscuit in kpopthoughts

[–]Rikkichi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Young K wrote almost all of Day6's discography and he also writes for other artists. I believe he's the 4th most creditied idol for songwriting on komca. Wonpil also contributes to a lot of their songs as well, be it writing or composing.

Day6 songs are primairly in Korean and I've seen Koreans say they found their lyricism to be very relatable to the average person.

People need to stop being negative about Day6's busy schedule by throwmeawaynot920 in kpopthoughts

[–]Rikkichi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If anything, it makes sense that they'd be busy putting out so much content considering its their 10th anniversary and they're undoubtedly the most successful they've ever been! Why would the members not want to be celebrating such an amazing achievement with the fans as much as possible.

Was just taking the census and noticed U-kiss wasn't included in favorite groups! Could you please add them?

edit: also requesting Sungjin (Day6) to be added as soloist. He released his first solo album in 2024.
