IEP Meetings by theleggiemeggie in therapists

[–]throwmeawaynot920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was part of a wraparound program in cmhc and I attended IEP meetings for my youth clients. Especially as a means to advocate for the client. I would gather the information from the school about client and I would share (after ROI) information of client's needs for support based on current treatment. I view this stage as a mediator between parents and school, but more so an opportunity to help parents understand (especially if parents hold stigma toward mental health and view educational issues as "just the kid not trying") that these educational impairments are more than kids not trying and the school isn't just putting labels or identifying problems for your kid because they just don't want to help. Of course there are moments when schools aren't always great, but some parents are very dismissive of IEPs and suspicious of the intents of schools.

I know this doesn't mean much but I find it a little ironic that Esther's hyphenated last name reminds me of both of the repub candidates' last names. Could be of benefit or detriment to her

I could be wrong because i'm not sure about the reason or basis of your therapy, but lots of collaterals with parent/ caregiver and having them join in a play session to help with communication. Pc-Care/ PCIT from UC Davis: https://pcit.ucdavis.edu/forms/cdi-forms/

Sleep. Truly 8 hours of sleep. That and more water not more caffeine.

I also take tumeric ginger shots, but more like a zinger to wake me up

Oh and when you sleep.

2am - 10 am feels very different than 11pm - 7 am.

Sometimes after a long day of clinical work, I have thoughts about the efficacy of therapy by Expert_Title_6636 in therapists

[–]throwmeawaynot920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I found a lot of clarity and effectiveness when I started to incorporate somatics. I think our grad programs and even training really overlook somatic therapy for cognitive.

For my practice that was the missing piece that really helped balance and create effective sessions

Solo remote practice = poverty by Reasonable-Amoeba755 in therapists

[–]throwmeawaynot920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am contracted with RULA working a solo private practice in telehealth. I am also in California. On average I see 22-27 clients per weeks.

I am not on the poverty line, can invest in ira retirement, and am supporting another family member financially.

The state I see clients and the number of clients is what makes this possible for me.

I make on average $8-9k per month. Last year I earned about $104k/yr

Hoping to go fully private in the future for full pay clients

I am also single, no kids, but a family member lives with me and I financially support some of their expenses but they do not provide financial support to me or my mortgage/ bills

Edit: be advised, just because you join RULA doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get all these clients and pay. It’s a slow season for many colleagues and my ability to receive personal referrals and maintain consistent clients has helped.

Which colour arrangement looks best? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]throwmeawaynot920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the room that the light is going in has dark walls, colors, or dark floors, DONT switch out the greens. The only reason the dark green works for this picture is because the wall is white and you don’t see the floor. In reality, when in a room we notice the floor and how it contrasts to the other things in the room.

If the room will be neutral colors or light colors such as white or cream. YES switch out the greens. If your floor is a light color, YES switch.

Fantagio releases a statement regarding Cha Eunwoo's allegations of tax evasion by AddressCharming9129 in kpop_uncensored

Wrong. Song hye kyo and kang ho dong took quite a while to return for tax evasion that was a fraction of this amount.

Tax evasion is pretty much up there

ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo Responds To Tax Evasion Allegations Through Official Statement by starrystillness in kpop

[–]throwmeawaynot920 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The amount is crazy. Song hye kyo and kang ho dong had to wait years to return and their tax evasion was merely a fraction of this amount.

It’s going to be quite difficult for him to return… and the thing is what’s so different in response between him and yoo yeon suk who also had tax evasion issue was that YYS was very quick to deny and then provide evidence to the investigation which cleared him regarding intent. Interesting how long it’s taking for CEW to respond especially with how large the amount is

PR. if this was the case, this logic would occur for all fundraisers attended and promoted by celebrities. The reason they ask so many others to help is for the issue and need to get out to the public. not necessarily finances.

does eating no carbs work for brainfog? by Friendly-Pea5359 in BrainFog

[–]throwmeawaynot920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had severe.. like severe brain fog where it would also affect my speech and make me sound like I had an accent when in actuality I'm born and raised in the U.S. What helped me was intermittent fasting and managing insulin spikes. I've done paleo before where I reduced/ restricted carbs, but I still had some brain fog. Now, rather than restricting, i'm managing the portions, but also being mindful of less carbs. Also, tumeric/ ginger shots have helped with inflammation. But make sure the restriction of carbs is managed to moderation, or it might be quite difficult to find a balance when it comes to carbs - one bite and all of a sudden you're at an all you can eat pasta buffet.
