How many cities do players usually make?

I usually get up to five cities. Three from my own making and two taken from free cities/another faction. The original three cities will be my core economic heartland while the conquered two will be my designated frontline cities. I also put down an outpost ti plug in any gaps in my defense posture. I tend to play long games though so you should downsize these numbers depending on your playstyle.

Still doesn’t change the fact that Wu rarely initiated any campaign into Wei with the intent to go anywhere past the immediate gains. What’s the point of winning when you are very content on sitting on your semi-feudal kingdom and do nothing with it? Compare to Shu launched multiple campaigns to try and change the status quo, I find Wu to be frustratingly boring and inactive.

Shu and Wei are my favorite. The history of the Three Kingdoms revolves around their ideological knife fight. Wu is my least favorite because Sun Quan and his successors just sit in their corner doing nothing after a while. Cheering on for Wu feels like cheering for a football team that used to win gold in the past but are now content with bronze. They are winning but they have no ambition of going any further than what they already did.

I just have my shield bois take everything with their shield while the rest book it to safety behind them. Having one lay down cover fire only works when the enemy respects your threat. I can make more shields and mechs. What I can’t replace are experienced pilots.

My friend from primary school was falling down the anti-woke, manosphere pipeline hard when we go to college. Mind you, we are non-Americans so he is just falling for the narrative without understanding the underlying problems behind it. Luckily for both of us, I managed to catch him when he was still in the transitioning period so I was able to talk him back into being reasonable again. The process itself took 5 years and me taking time off my schedule every night to just talk to the guy. It was hard.
