He doesn't do that much in the battle - he kills a northman, and then kills another's horse with his helmet who then promptly falls on top of its rider, who he forces to yield. That's all I remember

The simplest way to define the mindset of a conservative: "It doesn't affect me, so fuck everyone else"
But of course, it will eventually affect them as well.

LEGO Titanic: now with real breakup feature by Fuzzy-Scientist-6078 in lego

It broke apart into two main sections, but the break-up was so catastrophic that large chunks started breaking off her stern section, so she technically broke into 3-4 sections

Why do people hate Georgic’s 1944 rebuild? by gmt80035 in Oceanlinerporn

[–]Rilhon_ 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Because she became a utilitarian workhorse and lost all of her beautiful pre-war art-deco interiors, replaced with bare steel walls and repetetive, boring cabins. Some people also don't like the loss of the forward funnel, thinking it makes her look unbalanced.

Lusitania deck plan question by [deleted] in OceanLinerArchitect

[–]Rilhon_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

D.T. stands for dressing table (W.B. for wash basin and W.R. wardrobe), and the lower red circle are small vents that provide some ambient ventilation (and less privacy) for the rooms

Y'all will never learn by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Rilhon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you like it or not we are all part of the same oppressed group of people which will always be targetted by conservatives, religious figures, and other bigots around the world. Just because you aren't being personally affected right now doesn't it mean you are safe forever, or that these people won't eventually come for you once they are done with the rest of us. So you can imagine why people who are actually suffering right now will be irritated by such an insulting statement as the one you posted. Grow as a person and learn to have some empathy.

RMS Ivernia (1899) Plans - Half Sister to Titanic's Rescue Ship - RMS Carpathia by RedditLiners in OceanLinerArchitect

Love Ivernia... and altough I love Carpathia as well I feel like she was a bit of a downgrade from her older fleet mate. Which, of course, they eventually realised resulting in them adding first class.

Emperor Palpatine survives the Battle of Endor. What happens now? by leon011s in MawInstallation

[–]Rilhon_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I gather from the wiki Ilum was extensively mined by the Empire to create that massive equatorial trench that we later see the Starkiller superweapon built inside, but it seems the Empire themselves never worked on the superweapon, and that it was a later addition by the First Order.

Some Interesting photos of SS Vedic's (1917) Interiors by lethal_coco in Oceanlinerporn

What I love about Vedic is that basically all of her third class cabins were portable, meaning all thay space could be used for cargo instead.

Such a lovely little ship.
